CB Bradley Roby (2x All B1G)

Huge difference is the Male vs Female interactions in the eyes of UFM and females being specifically called out in team rules. I'm guessing Roby with one game suspension.

I think Hydes punishment had less to do with it being a female and more to do with the media making it about a hulking runningback from a top university cold cocking an innocent girl at a bar.

With that said, the only way I see it being fair for Roby to get less than 3 games is if the charges are dropped. At that point he will have no charges but needs to sit a game or two for being stupid in a place he had no business being in.

You don't punish for simply being in places unless those places are expressedly off-limits...

Did you read the post where I posted where I got the information from? Did you read through the entire thread?

edit: You do realize that I was going by what had been posted on this thread when I said that?

Charges or not, I think the difference b/tw the two punishments will be b/c one was violence towards a female, the other wasn't. I think he gets less than Hyde when its all said and done. 1-2 games for Roby is my guess.

Hope your right on this one. I just wish it was over, and reprimand was handed down. Then it would be, "Time to move on".....

1...maybe 2. From what I've seen from Meyer there's no way he skates when criminal, even minor criminal, charges have been brought.

Disorderly Conduct is what Mewhort and Stoney were charged with for pee-and-flee. They got no games IIRC.

Having said that, I agree with your larger point; Roby gets a game, and it's the right call IMHO.

Simply, posting without knowing what you're talking about... especially in a situation like this, is going to get you shit. Pay attention, get up to speed on the topic, and if after that, if what you have to say makes sense... hit the reply button. We all, for the most part, enjoy the thoughts of the BP membership. But that's largely because this place is, for the most part, filled with people who are well informed before the shoot their mouths off. Don't change that, please.

Danke

Not all charges are equal. Slippery slope there (ie: Murder and larceny are both felonies).

No you dont. But you do punish someone for not walking away from two different fights in one night, initiating a fight, punching someone, and violating team rules with clear cut evidence.

I understand the political crap behind it but you can't honestly support a 3 game suspension from Hyde and only give a 1 game suspension to Roby when Roby's altercation was seemingly much worse.

No one here disagrees with you. No one is arguing that he should get the same punishment as those two, and I said as much in my post. If you were trying to imply something else, please clarify.

We don't really know any of the facts behind this case do we?
