Roby would've been the missing piece for the '13 defense just as Whitner was for the '06 defense. It's truly great news to have him back as we make a run in 2013.

Ohio State football: Roby says he'll return next season
Ohio State cornerback Bradley Roby, citing unfinished business for his team, a chance to be a leader, and an opportunity to improve as a player, told The Dispatch tonight he plans to play for the Buckeyes again in 2013.
?I?m coming back,? Roby said.
He had been projected as a possible late first-round, early second-round pick in the April NFL draft had he chose to leave Ohio State. Instead, he is returning for his fourth year at Ohio State, where he will be a redshirt junior. He sat out his first season in 2010.
?It was a tough decision, I looked at a lot of things, and even though I have pretty good stock for this year?s draft, I really think it?s better for me and my team for me to come back for another year,? said Roby, a consensus All-Big Ten first-teamer and second-team Walter Camp All-American. ?We have some unfinished business, kind of, with the NCAA, which kind of took our (2012) season away from us before we even started.?
The Buckeyes, who were 12-0 and rose to No.3 in the last Associated Press poll of the regular season, were banned from the postseason because of earlier NCAA rules transgressions.
?We should really be playing in the national championship (game) but we weren?t able to, so I really felt like if I come back we?d have a better chance,? said Roby, knowing that the OSU defense already is losing seven starters from the 2012 unit, including lineman Johnathan Hankins, who chose to leave early.
?Also, I haven?t finished what I came to Ohio State to do, which was to become one of the best corners to come out of Ohio State. I don?t think I?ve accomplished that yet. I know the NFL is there, the money?s there, but you always have another opportunity for that. I just talked this over with my family and feel like this is the best thing for me to do.?
