CB Bradley Roby (2x All B1G)

I have a question for those in the know. I saw today that Roby and Big Hank today were named second team All-American by the AP, and John Simon was named third team. Will these players get a Buckeye tree in honor of this accomplishment, or do they have to be first team AA in order to be honored in the grove?

I think you get a Bonsai tree for 2nd team.

First team. If it were for 2nd and 3rd teamers also, we'd have a frickin' forest around The Shoe...

Thanks Mili. Although I don't think a forest of Buckeye trees would be a bad thing. Roby was named 1st team by one organization earlier as you probably know. Ihope that qualifies him.

Roby was named 1st team by a couple organizations (including our friends at ESPiN) I'm sure Bradley will be getting that tree.

The play around 4:10 where he is beat by like 8 yards and comes back to make a perfect deflection without even looking at the ball still blows my mind. Somebody needs to test this guy for ESP!

I remember that play (I've rewatched that game several times). He was really lucky the ball was underthrown or it was an easy six points. As for his "prefect deflection", he was fortunate the ball happened to hit his arm where he raised it. The only real good thing about that play is that he didn't give up...it may look good on a highlight reel but at the time he simply bit on a double move and was very lucky he didn't get burnt...
