Cavs 09-10 Season (official thread)

Please. It's a team game, the guy's allowed an "off day" every now and then.

His shot has turned to shit since the All Star game. I know he is putting up great numbers, but he has only been effective driving to the basket.

And in all 3 losses he has not shown up in the fourth like we need him to.

We could trade for Jesus and it wouldnt matter.

WHen the refs suck balls that terrible and Howard can get away with murder, you cant beat them.

We cant beat these guys in a 7 game series.

Orlando isn't the team to worry about out of the east. The Cavs have handled them this year prior to today.

Do you disagree?

Yes in that if Lbj isn't getting it done for a couple nights, somebody else needs to step up. The guy was huge against Denver and the only reason they were in that game, so not sure what your beef could be there.

He's earned enough goodwill to have a "bad game" or two. Somebody else needs to step up.

You are right about Denver. He was having a good fourth quarter and lighting it up, but his decision to drive to the basket with the game tied and clock running down and then kick it out to Parker for a 3 was a terrible decision. He needed to take that final shot.

The other games he has stood around and taken long jumpers to close them out, and missed them all.

So every single game is ultimately up to him to win or lose? I'll just say I disagree.

Let the second guessing begin. Everybody annointing the Cavs after that trade are running for cover...

It's too early to run for cover....Shaq took a while to settle in as well. I'd like to see them move Parker to the bench, and start Jamison and Hickson together. Jamison can and did cover the 3 frequently in Washington, so slide LeBron down to the #2 defensively. Have Jamison learn Parker's role in the offense, which was mostly pick and pop and hanging out in corners. I think the rotation is jacked right now...its going to take some time to figure it out. I don't like Jamison off the bench though. I like the idea of added length on defense and letting LeBron guard the worse player between the PG and 2 guard to keep him rested.

How do you blame the guy who goes for 33-9-6 rather than pretty much anybody else on the team? This would be the best team in the history of the universe if everybody sucked as bad as LeBron.

Mo Williams was 1 of 9 from the floor. Delonte West was 2 of 9. Parker and Varejao were both 1 of 4. Gibson was 0 of 1. Jawad was 1 of 3. Players who are not James, Shaq or Jamison went 8 of 33 today. That's 24.2% - but go ahead and blame LeBron if it makes you feel better.

I agree. Just saying a lot of people were saying this trade was going to turn them into an unstoppable juggernaut. The risk in this move was disrupting the chemistry this team has built. That appears to be happening somewhat.

I think the trade is only a part of that. The Cavs went on a 13-game win streak without Mo and Delonte in the lineup. In addition to incorporating Jamison, they're trying to work those two back into the lineup for a team that was on a roll without them. All of this is taking place right after the All-Star break. I think the week-long break could not have come at a worse time for this team, from the standpoint that it disrupted what they had going. Not to mention that the schedule for the rest of this month is a tough stretch, these kind of struggles are to be expected to some extent. I just hope that the Cavs can preserve their hold on home court advantage and can work out a new rotation in time to go on a roll again in the playoffs.

i still think this is the best thing that could happen to the Cavs. Nobody wants a losing streak. However sometimes a wake up call is the best thing. Once you start thinking that your invincible it goes to your head. Hopefully this serves to everyone that they need to work harder. Im not worried about the chemistry, they have made trades in the past and it seems to work out. I think that if we get Z back it will help alot.

Only problem I have is Brown playing Parker way to much I think he is the only weak part in our line up. I would like to see him play Moon and Hickson more instead of Anthony, at 6'6" he is to much of a libility, where most of the players he is guarding is 6'9". Just like when The buckeyes lost to Purdue, Dont jump ship things have a way of working out and I'm sure Lebron will make it happen.

Not if it includes sending away JJ. He's really coming along and I don't think it's worth trading for an aging JC. People say Jesus can be the savior but I'm not convinced he can coexist with Lebron, and his defense is suspect at best. Then again he could be the spark to resurrect this franchise.
