Cavs 09-10 Season (official thread)

Z is not that great. I have been watching him since he has been a cav and the last couple of years he is not that great. I understand that everyone has seen him for the last 14 years and love him for his loyalty, but the fact of the matter is he is not that good. Probably he will be back in a month but have you watched him in the past 3 years. He doesn't hit his shots like he used to and he barely tries to play defense, all he does is foul because he doesn't leave his feet. I used to love Z but the fact of the matter is he lost alot of his game and if he comes back that would be good for the depth, but besides that he is just someone who everyone thinks is great but not really.
Yeah...maybe you need to watch more games, or watch other teams that don't have bigs like Z. Without Z, we are hurting when Shaq is out. Andy can't play the 5. We need a true 5 out there for longer than Shaq can play. It isn't just about him playing well, it's what him being on the court does to everybody. If we don't get Z back, then I feel the trade ends up hurting the Cavs...I have always felt that way. I didn't want to trade for ANYBODY unless we lost nothing...and this is why I liked the Jamison trade, because that's likely. But we still have yet to see the Wizards buy out Z.

I watch all the games and like I said it would be nice for depth, but the fact I was tring to make was everyone down grading the trade(which is still a great trade) because Jamison had a bad night. If we get Z back then great but don't act like he made a great difference out there lately. All he seems to want to do anymore is sit in 3 point land and hit the big shot. On defense he is definitly a liablity because he doesn't leave his feet and just hacks at people. So say want you want to me but I do watch the games do you?

What your not seeing is long term in the playoffs. Its a big body that we need against bigger teams. I think he plays a pivitol role in us winning a championship. Lakers have 4 7 footers on there team right now we have 1. What happens is Shaq gets in foul trouble, we are SOL. Z brings size, out side shooting and 6 EXTRA FOULS.

Let's look at the reason why the Cavs were bounced last year. They couldn't face up against Rashad Lewis with Andy. Z couldn't contain Dwight. And Hedo was left to wreck havoc.

They have addressed a lot of these issues, and brought in Jamison who at best can be a game changer. AT WORST you can put him up against Rashad Lewis and allow Lebron to roam.

I think that the moves since last year's exit have been in reaction to the matchup problems that they couldn't contain in the playoffs last year. It remains to be seen if it's going to help against other teams.

It may have solved the Cavs issues with respect to the Eastern Conference teams, but teams like Denver still pose a big threat. And you can't rule out the Lakers either, they seam to not even be trying this season and still are just a few games out of the best record.

What a joke!

The Cavs had an in-bound with :01 on the shot clock, and the buzzer went off before the ball even touched LeBron's hand.

Shaq's on the bench with four fouls, Antawn's on the bench with four fouls and Howard is throwing 'bows everywhere.
