Cavs 09-10 Season (official thread)

I continue to believe that this team gets by with having the best player in the league...

But isn't that true for about 90% of all NBA coaches? Doc Rivers was HORRIBLE, but you add KG & Ray Allen along with Rondo and all of the sudden he is a genius.

The big dark secret in Cleveland is... how much of the offensive problems is LeBron's fault? What I mean by that is, how often does HE decide to NOT to follow the called play and run something else (ie the LeBron dribbles for 20 seconds then takes a 30 footer). Cuz you know Mike Brown would NEVER call out LeBron for something like that cuz LeBron can get him fired in 1 second.

I've been telling my friends around me that Mike Brown is a sub par coach who has little to no sway in that locker room. Lebron should have won coach of the year. IF you add a buch of pieces, which I didn't agree with in the first place, then you need the coach to be able to find out what will work and how to work on other things. Mike will run the same sets whether the pieces agree with it or not.

His plays and offense designs were great for last years team, where Mo Williams and Delonte West played way above expectations. But with the new pieces Cleveland is going to continue to struggle until either Mike Brown finally gets the square pegs to fit the round hole or the front office brings in something new in terms of offensive game management.

That comes with the territory. Kobe, Jordan, Iverson...They all ran/run whatever they want(ed) to. It's about maturity. Kobe and Jordan grew into great floor leaders because they learned that in a league of great players you have to make everyone around them better, Iverson...well we know where that story goes. Lebron is a great leader always has been going back to his high school days and we still heard the critics before last year talk about how he passes TOO much. He is still young, it will take time. I do however agree that the pieces around Lebron don't fit. The Shaq move still boggles the mind considering that what they need to compete with the elite of the Eastern conference slapped them repeatedly across the face last year in the semis.[/quote]

This does not bode well for the Cavaliers and their rotation
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West indicted on additional weapons and traffic charges in Maryland
By Brian Windhorst
November 03, 2009, 3:47PM

Delonte West is finally back on the court for the Cleveland Cavaliers, but his legal problems in Maryland are getting more complicated.

Prince George?s County (Md.) State's Attorney Glenn F. Ivey announced today that West was indicted by a grand jury on a wide array of weapons counts, more expansive than the two-gun possession charges police applied when he was arrested following a traffic stop Sept. 17 outside of Washington, D.C.

West has been indicted on two counts of carrying a dangerous weapon, two counts of carrying a handgun, two counts of transporting a handgun, and one count of reckless driving and one count of negligent driving. If convicted, West could face up to three years for each of the six gun charges and a $2,500 fine per offense.

Ivey told The Associated Press today that West will likely be arraigned by the end of the week, and the case could go to trial early next year. He is being charged with carrying and transporting a fully-loaded Ruger .357 Magnum and a fully-loaded Beretta 9mm handgun.

One of the guns was in his pocket and another was strapped to his leg, according to the charges. One of the dangerous weapons charges is for carrying a Remington 870 shotgun, which was in a guitar case over his back, which had eight shotgun shells in a side saddle carrier.

Also police found a total of 112 shotgun shells, most of them in a camel-style backpack West was also carrying on his Can-Am Spyder three-wheeled motorcycle. Also, for the first time it was revealed that West was carrying an 8.5-inch Bowie-style knife when officers arrested him.

I have never seen so many [censored]ing [censored] poor touch or phantom fouls on one side of the court in my life.

The refs need to stop smelling their [censored]ing vaginas and change their tampons at halftime.

That last foul on Z was nothing. Shaq made up for it with his foul on Stevenson.
