Cavs 09-10 Season (official thread)

GREAT choice to take Congo dude in the draft

when they could have had

DeJuan Blair - San Antonio Spurs - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

Really? Blair is probably as good as he will ever be. CE was the best player on the Cavs summer league team and should be really good in a couple years. Blair probably wouldn't see the court if the Cavs had drafted him. If he did he would only be taking minutes away from JJ. The Cavs have a lot more depth at the 4 and 5 than the Spurs do especially if you give Lebron some minutes at 4.

Yeah, the Cavs are really missing the guy who now has more career double-doubles (1) than good knees (0).

He's undersized for his position and one thing the Cavs are sorely missing is length and athleticism. Eyenga will bring that at the two, Blair does not bring those things at the four. Blair only has 1" on Eyenga.

Not to mention Eyenga can probably jump over Blair.

Read through the last 3 pages...

Liked the thought that this team is built for the playoffs...We can defend any lineup now...Good Big guy, athletic long 3/4, good 2/3.

The only place I worry are teams like Lakers/Celtics where they have athletic 4/5, and good depth...

But remember this team has a ton of room to grow...Because we have not played together...

And I do believe that Mike Brown will be the downfall if things don't go right, because he will play the wrong rotations...We need to start getting more time for guys like Moon/Green. If we can use them to get us solid minutes through out the year, to improve for the playoffs that is only going to help us...sitting them on the bench doesn't do that...

It probably would be good if Brown would set a rotation at least for the first half to get guys like Moon and Green minutes. I'm sure that's easier said than done. I wouldn't really want him to start mass subs with West, Boobie/Green, Moon, JJ, and Z. As much as Green needs minutes there are just too many players for this to happen most nights. There is only enough room in the rotation for 8-10 players.

This make no sense to me...the hardest working guy on the team, does all the dirty work, has 3 inches on Blair, and you don't like him and you want Blair over him.

Can we get a grip here.

And to boot he has improved his offensive game coming into this year as well.

We are 4 games in...

I have heard, shaq sucks, terrible idea to get him.
Parker is a hack, it was a terrible idea to get him.
We should get rid of Andy and we should of drafted Blair.
We should of drafted Blair over Danny Green.

Anything else I am missing...Sometimes I wonder why a lot of you aren't GMS, instead of a hack like Danny Ferry who is putting this team together...

You also forgot that Mike Brown sucks and we need an offensive coach.

And I KNOW I would be a better GM than that guy in Minnesota and probably another dozen GMs. Cuz I would use something called common sense.

Every team in the NBA would take Andy if they could get him. Rather than a player that every single team passed over in the draft this summer.
Andy is the only player on the team that gives 100% while he's on the floor. He can play PF or C and can hold his own when he switches to smaller players on defense. If you only judge a player by the points that he scores Andy might be average, but it's everything else that he does that makes him a very good player.

I agree with what you're saying overall but the first sentence of this post is wild hyperbole.

Well I don't disagree with that one, so that one is ok...:)

I continue to believe that this team gets by with having the best player in the league...

I would of got rid of him after his coach of the year award last year...
