How did Darnell Jackson do?

Both of those guys should be on the opening night roster...

10 points 8 boards for Jackson

Clay Tucker Guard from UW Milwaukee was the 2nd highest scorer with 17 (hes 28 though, from the D league)

Hickson does not look as big as I hoped... definitely athletic, but I still had to wonder what he'd do against the big boys

Jackson's offense looked good... but he struggled defending quick players... they drove by him way too easily...

Anybody will look kinda smallish playing next to Tractor Traylor. :tongue2:

Seriously though, I thought that on the offensive end he played bigger than 6'9", and looks like he takes advantage of his size and strength better than anybody else on the Cavs roster, save LeBron.

I hadn't seen Hickson before today, and I was hoping for a little bit of a shot blocking presence. That's something else the Cavs are missing and Hickson didn't really show that.

I hadn't mentioned Jackson at all, but he ended up having a solid game.

Really not sure what we will have room for depending on what we might do in the offseason...Hopefully just resign Boobie and West, and don't reach for someone...

But I would think about keeping Hickson, Jackson, Green, and Tucker...

Tucker was a very good player in college...He is from my hometown and would be great to see him play for the Cavs...

Summer league or not, Hickson played well in the paint, something this team os looking for. He shot 11-15, but more importantly, he had 7 offensive rebounds. I'm a big a big fan of guys that can rebound in their own end. We'll see how his consistency is for the remaining games, but a pretty good start for a player that can play a big role in a couple of years.

I said before the draft that I wanted the Cavs to take the big with the highest ceiling, which I thought (and may be) KK. Hickson also fits this mold and may fit what the Cavs need even better. It wasn't as important for them to get a guy that can contribute right away as it is for them to have a guy that will be a legit player in a year or two and it sounds like Hickson can be this guy. It sounds like he has a lot of game around the basket so if he can develop a shot out to 10-15 feet he could be a very good player. Fingers crossed.

Tucker reppin my alma mater (UW-Milwaukee). The only thing keeping him out of the NBA is his lack of ideal height. If he was 6'5" he'd be a rotation player.

I told you guys after you made your pick: Hickson > Lebron. Best Case: Brand, Realistic: David West, Worst Case: Brandon Bass....Opposing power forwards can't stop a guy with his quickness/strength combination. He gets to where he wants on the court and stays there. Shields players with his body, tough to block with his long arms, and just has a knack for scoring and the ball. That's why I'm considered the premier NBA talent evaluator on the net.

If Hickson is ready to play early, and Gibson matures, the team could possibly overtake Boston. Sure, another sniper like Redd couldn't hurt, but that's just not going to happen.
