Cavs 08-09 Season - Central Div Champs (official thread)

Which is the more one-sided "rivalry" right now? Cavs-Wizards or Ohio State-Michigan?

I mean, the only reason I would even consider Washington a rival is because the whole team is a bunch of never-was, smack-talking hacks. We've kicked their ass three years in a row in the playoffs and this year they are, at best, annoying gum on the bottom of our shoes.

Yet still they continue to pretend like they are something more to Lebron and the Cavs. Before tonight's game, Andaeray Blatche (sp???) mocked Lebron's powder routine before the game. Seriously, if these no-talent pricks want to continue to follow the lead of Deshawn Stevenson, then they are going to continue to be mired in mediocrity.

Ahem it would appear that they are over that 2-game funk, and that they want home court for the entire playoff--badly. They can only beat themselves in the playoffs.

Exactly... when this team wants to defend, and stays focused from the start on defense I would take them against anyone in this league at any arena... That includes the Lakers.

A lot of the guys from Boston did not appreciate Lebron and the guys woofing and dancing while they were sitting. Let's just hope that this does not come back and bite the Cavaliers. More from this article:

NBA Commissioner David Stern weighs in on Cavaliers dance routines

CLEVELAND -- NBA Commissioner David Stern had his annual pre-playoff teleconference on Monday afternoon.

A Boston-based reporter asked Stern if he was upset by the Cavs dancing during their blowout victory and if that would be legislated by the NBA. Stern said he didn't see the dancing by LeBron James, Mo Williams and Delonte West during a timeout late in the game but that he didn't have a problem with it.

"I think celebrations by our players do have a place," Stern said. "If I were the Celtics, I would make sure that tape, if one exists, runs every game in the locker room as a motivation. I wouldn't spend my time telling our players about that."

Cleveland Cavaliers' forward Ben Wallace has knee strain
by Brian Windhorst / Plain Dealer Reporter
Monday April 13, 2009, 1:10 PM

CLEVELAND -- An MRI today at the Cleveland Clinic revealed that Cavaliers forward Ben Wallace has a patella tendon strain in his left knee. He will not play tonight in Indiana against the Pacers and is currently considered doubtful for Wednesday's season finale against the 76ers at home.

The team gave no timetable on how long he may be out.

In general, knee ligament strains involve tendinitis or some swelling in the area. The common way to treat it is with extended rest. It is possible Wallace put some extra strain on his left leg when he was healing from a broken right leg, which can often lead to tendinitis in athletes.
