Also, I think Skip Bayless can stick his "LeBron has an underrated supporting cast" argument the next time he runs him down up his ass. I stick by my earlier prediction of 40-43 wins and a possible low playoff seed unless somehow Ferry can pull off something to improve this team.

brown had a good 1st quarter and that was about it.

vince carter owned him pretty good, but that happens to a lot of folks. i don't see any reason why shannon brown should get minutes over gibson, pavs, or devin brown when LBJ is healthy. if/when fragile larry comes back, that's a further cut into his pt.

I am not saying that he should be gettig 20-30 minutes/game like them, but it would only help this team in the long run, for trades, for depth that we could get Shannon Brown some minutes...

I mean at this point in the season there is no reason to be playing LBJ, Gibson, Pavs, the minutes that they are playing in games where we are the better team...I don't see any reason to not let Shannon get some minutes to help his progression...

I mean we have seen it with Pavs and with Boobie, where Brown leaves them on the bench and hardly plays them, and they show flashes and then when they got minutes they took off...

I am sure we are seeing Brown struggle in his minimal minutes that he is getting because he is pressing and trying to earn more minutes...

Espn just reported that the Cavs matched the offer and Andy is now under contract with the Cavs...

Not sure what to make of this, but if he comes back and plays hard and has no beef this is a good situation for us...Anything else could be bad...

The only reason Brown got pt last night was to shop him to see if anyone would give up anything for him. Unlikely considering everyone knows Ferry has to cut a player, and he's not cutting a turd that requires being bought out for more than the rest of the season. It's between Brown and Nichols and they like Nichols. The writing is on the wall for Shannon. He may excel elsewhere, or at least contribute, something he won't get the chance to do at Cleveland.

I'll be glad when Andy returns. He'll be busting his ass the next 2 years (not that he wouldn't anyway), working toward that big payday. By that time, Cedric Simmons should be more than ready to take his minutes.

Edit: looks like you'll get your wish CBF, they just waived Nichols. That means Brown will stay , at least until the end of the year. Maybe his first quarter last night convinced them to keep him ahead of Nichols.

or, as you've seen with pavs and gooden, neither are effective for long stretches as they are not fundamentally sound enough. with gooden, it's more due to the fact that he's dumb as a box of rocks (and not those fancy decrotive rocks either).

I'm not high on Pavlovic like so many seem to be. He plays out of control with the ball in his hands, and oftentimes, he doesn't shoot well for a Euro.
He's only decent off the bench and as an occasional spot starter.

Gooden can shoot and always rebounds well. There's no reason for him to ever get less than 15 points, but he sometimes pulls a Casper.

I My only complaint with Gibby is thay I wish he would take it to the hole more rather than always relying on the outside shot. He's gotten better at driving so i'm hopeful that continues. He should be attacking the hole , especially with LBJ out. This team really sucks without LBJ.

I think I'd rather Shannon Brown get more pt at the expense of Devin Brown. His shot sucks.

Dwayne Jones, Ira Newble, Devin Brown, Eric Snow, Damon Jones?..This collective group of CBA All-stars just blew our lead and had us trailing by 8 in about 4 minutes.

Is this guy serious?

I know, lots of questions, but what the fuck? Couldn't he have snuck Gibson, Z, Drew, or Sasha somewhere in that line-up instead of going straight NBDL?

I'm being semi-serious here, is he trying to put this team at a disadvatage for later in the year, or what would be the reason for that?

It just goes to show that without LBJ Mike Brown would not be the coach of this team...He is a joke of a coach...

Pretty pathetic when you only have 4 more baskets than turnovers. At least Shannon Brown has some ability to drive to the hoop.

The frustrating thing is we were in the game and playing pretty well until he (Mike Brown) goes bat-shit and puts that line-up in. It isn't as if Washington is a stellar club. We could make it a game if he (Mike Borwon) plays his cards right. Running a line-up on Dwayne Jones, Ira Newble at PF, Devin Brown, E Snow, and Damon Jones isn't what I or any other competent coach, would call playing your cards right.

Dude just deceides to give the game away.

Again, unbelievable.

Shannon Brown has looke pretty good. He's certainly the only one not afraid to take it inside. You know what that means: Newble will replace him soon.

edit: Devin Brown sucks
