Cavs 06-07 season thread

i don't think it was the right play or the wrong play. it was a play. though lebron could have very well made his own shot, it's not a foregone conclusion that he would have. "right" plays don't always lead to desirable results, and "wrong" plays don't always lead to undesirable results.

if lebron's pass would have resulted in a connected 3-point shot, would we have claimed afterward that it was the wrong play and that he should have instead attempted the layup?

The thing I am getting at has nothing to do with the fact that the shot was made or missed...If he woudl of made it I of course would of been happy, but IMO it comes down to LBJ and the whole team not feeling like they can compete with the Pistons...IMO LBJ played scared to attack the number teams all game, he was standing around and most players in the NBA could of made more than half the passes he made...

It is much like what SA is doing to Utah, let Williams and Boozer get their points same thing they did with Stoudemeire, but still win...

The only reason we were in that game, was b/c Detroit played like shit...We have to be in the 90 point range to win these games, or it is going to take a couple more piss poor efforts from Detroit for the Cavs to win the series...

LBJ doesnt have the the mind of a superstar, he has the mind of the number 3 player on the team...He has all the skills in the world and is my favorite player by far, but last year he almost carried this team over the Pistons but now he just seems to conceed to the double teams and trys to let his teammates win the game...

I mean if he scores anymore than 10 points we probably win this game...IMO he doesnt have to be putting up 30 pts, but at least around 20, I mean at times they are not respecting his jumper he might as well see if he can get it to fall, other than standing for 10 seconds passing to Snow or Hughes with 4 seconds left on the shot clock and making them force shots...I counted at least 3 or 4 where Larry had to force something due to LBJ standing and letting the double team come and then just throw a pass to Larry...

I understand that this might come across as harsh towards LBJ, but he holds the key for a chance at us making it to the finals, not Donyell, not Sasha, not Larry, not Z, not Drew, not Wild thing, it is he the king, and at this point he doesnt seem to realize it...

I like the way that Brown hs used the bench tonite and we have seen DJ and Boobie, Hope that he plays them in the second half as well...

We can win this game if we can score some points...

Also nice to see that LBJ is still capable of taking the ball to the rim...

BTW instead of letting Max get all these dunks, foul him and send him to the line where he is a 53% foul shooter...

James is taking over the end of this half.

With the way Albert & Kerr were were salivating over Maxiell, it kinda seemed like the Cavs were getting outplayed most of this half. With :36 left in the half though, they have double-digit lead.

Maxiell did go off for a while, but I'll take that any day over Rasheed being in there in his place making threes. The Pistons being led by Jason Maxiell cannot beat the Cavs.

Great Great Great first half...

Also maybe it is a coincidence, but I don't think so, but the fact that we didnt see ESnow until the last 10 seconds of the first half and we played a great offensive half...

I really hope that he plays DJ and Boobie as much as he did in the first half...If we score 40+ pts in the second half we will win...

This team just can't handle prosperity it seems.

It honestly just comes down to offense and finding a way to score...I understand that the Pistons play good defense, but 4 pts in 9 minutes is just pitiful...

This is the time when LBJ needs to understand that one of his fall away jumpers, or a 3 or a tough shot he takes going to the basket is better than what anyone is doing...

Someone anyone needs to get the offense ignited, and put some points on the board...
