And so begins a string of Yo Cam jokes... Maybe we can create a tag for this [Yo Cam] text [/Yo Cam]. I suggest we get the mods to link the crayon font to the [Yo Cam] tags...

Yo Cam is so stupid, he thinks a quarterback is a refund

they actually both have 1 touchdown. That's the dynamic Cam adds. His ability on his feet. Does it matter if the TD comes in the air or on the ground?

I justify it by watching the game. Clausen is timid, more timid than a second year pro should be with multiple starts under his belt at the NFL level.

Carolina is not a playoff team this year. You roll the dice on a number one overall pick, you put him out there if there isn't an above average guy who is distancing himself in front of him. If you can honestly look at Jimmy Clausen and say he's head and shoulders above Cam Newton and has done much more in these three games to garner putting him out there in front of Cam, then that's your opinion. Mine is different. Big deal.

Yesterday was Cam's third game. He should at least be showing signs of improvement. What did he do? He went out and completed a whopping six passes out of nineteen. So, yeah--that whole improvement thing may not be happening.

No one is saying that Clausen is a superstar, but to say that he hasn't shown anything that would lead you to believe he gives Carolina a better shot at winning than Cam does (your original point) is just biased and silly.

why would my original point be biased? I don't see a future with Clausen, end of story. I don't care where these guys go to college, I am talking about the NFL.

Yeah, Cam looked like ass last night, and had Clausen went out there in the 4th quarter and done anything, maybe I would have agreed with you. But he netted a 4th quarter of 35 yards of offense in 3 drives. I don't know, I guess I just expect a little more out of him than that.

agree to disagree at this point. Should be interesting to see how it goes against the Steelers.

Again... its game 3 of the pre-season. You guys can say all of the stuff you want about Cam being a failure, waste of a draft pick, etc., but the point still stands that he has barely had a month getting NFL instruction from his coaching staff.

Like I said, why don't we wait until after the season to start judging him? Or at least a game that counts under his belt.

The top 5 QB's in the NFL by passer rating right now? Colt McCoy, Richard Bartel, Brady Quinn, Charlie Whitehurst, Rex Grossman. Yeah, I'd say its a good idea to wait for the real games to start if we're gonna judge a players success.

Sounds like the same stuff I heard from Bronco fans last year about their first round draft pick.

The NCAA wasn't going to learn anything from Sheridan - if he knew anything, it was something he heard from somebody at the NCAA, and he wasn't going to divulge his source. But this article in entertaining.

SI.com

NCAA leaves handprint on Sheridan's face

Danny Sheridan continues to make vague, unsubstantiated claims without backing them up with proof. Contrary to his claims of having an inside source with details on the Auburn investigation, the NCAA has not provided information to Sheridan or anyone else. As a matter of due diligence, the NCAA spoke with Sheridan this week to determine if he had any facts pertaining to the investigation. Sheridan, however, did not provide any information to the enforcement staff and certainly did not provide a name. Instead, he unsuccessfully attempted to gather information for his own use.

Cont'd ...
