And the winners are:

Cuyahoga County was well represented among the top award winners on the annual Associated Press All-Northeast Lakes District boys basketball team.

Solon's 6-9 junior post Dallas Lauderdale shared the Division I Player of the Year Award with Mentor senior forward Adam May. Bedford's Everett Heard was the big-school co-Coach of the Year with Mentor's Bob Krizancic.

Here is a pic of Lauderdale in action from this week.....Lauderdale continues to put up great numbers despite being doubled and tripled team....

Lauderdale and Solon saw their season end yesterday in a loss to Mckinley, 68-38. Solon finished their season 23-2.

``I am happy I had the privilege to play against someone like him,'' said Lauderdale, a 6-foot-9 junior who was limited to five points, three rebounds and two blocks.

Dallas seemed to struggle this year against stiff competition, but another summer of AAU ball will go a long way in helping him develop his game and then next year he will play at a much higher level in those games.

Hey BN do you know if he is still going to play for the Lebron Shooting stars this summer???

Not much new on Lauderdale at this point, there have been rumors of an upcoming decision and the main 2 schools mentioned have been Ohio State and Syracuse.

I know some people may question his ability after his performance against Zoubek earlier this year but Zoubek is a very talented player with experience and is going to Duke next year, Lauderdale was overmatched in that contest, simply not used to facing a player of his size and skill set. I do not question Lauderdale's talent or his potential. He is not in Oden's class, he is still a raw product with a huge potential and he is prgressing nicely. Playing on the AAU circuit wll help his development, he pretty much missed last summer.

I would think we would hear a decision sometime in the next 2 months.

there have been some rumblings on BSB that Lauderdale is starting to have some concerns regarding early PT at OSU.

Apparently the talk of Oden staying at least 2 years is worrying him. Whether or not this amounts to anything remains to be seen.

He would be a PF so if he's getting scared it would be the two big players from the canton area causing it or those players a year behind him.

Osu mostly would never play 7'1 7'0 6 9 together unless that 6'9 player is an super athlete. Dallas is amazing but, he's a low post PF all the way

Matta loves an athletic player at the SF spot with a twin tower look at C and PF. He loves that reason and coaching style for the teams defense won't have a disability if it goes all big and he likes the 3 spot being a great outside shooter

You could see that... Koufas seems to be more of a perimeter player at this stage in his career and could go to SF in "jumbo packages," leaving the smaller 6'9" guys (Hunter or Lauderdale) to play the PF. He's not super-athletic like what Lighty or Cook could bring to that position, but with his shooting ability, I wouldn't put it out of the picture. Teams would have nightmares matching up against that size.
