Having Lauderdale and Oden in the same paint together is comparable to having both Ken Johnson and Shaquille O'Neal. That is gonna be a friggin' TOUGH duo to have to beat down low! Or to defend against, for that matter...
If we get Diebler, Lauderdale, and Koufos, I will seriously pee my pants. The possibilities of this team are unreal.
In a matchup between two of top big men in the country -- Solon's Dallas Lauderdale and Brian Zoubek, the 7-2 center for Haddonfield (20-1) -- the Comets' 6-8 junior finished with a season-low four points on just 1-of-11 shooting.
Lauderdale and Solon lost 59-47 to Haddonfield yesterday.....
Wow, he must of really been struggling. Hopefully this is just fuel to the fire and he continues you get better.
When you are not used to facing 7-2 guys who have the skill set Zoubek has, well you are going to struggle.
Well the possibility of you peeing your pants is about 99%.
Peters makes it home
A beat reporter’s pregame routine includes a head count of players to make sure everyone is present.
The coaching staff doesn’t get the same scrutiny. If it had, Dan Peters’ absence on the Ohio State bench Sunday would have been obvious. Not until Matta made reference to it during his postgame news conference, however, was it noticed.
"I told a friend of mine I was talking to on the phone that any time you think you might be important, there are ways of being humbled," Peters said yesterday.
He spoke while the jet he was on sat on the runway in Philadelphia waiting to take off. Peters was snowed in there Sunday morning after watching a high-school basketball tournament in Trenton, N.J., that included at least two juniors Ohio State is recruiting, 6-8 Dallas Lauderdale of Solon and 7-1 Solomon Alabi, a Nigerian playing at Montverde (Fla.) Academy.
Peters said it was the first game he had missed in 27 years of coaching.
Let the games heat up: Best play better vs. greats
Great individual performances, in some cases against elite competition, highlighted games involving USA TODAY's Super 25 boys basketball teams last weekend.
A matchup between Haddonfield (N.J.) Memorial's 7-2 Brian Zoubek and Solon (Ohio)'s 6-9 junior Dallas Lauderdale turned out to be one-sided.
Zoubek, who has signed with Duke, had 22 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks in a 59-47 win at the Prime Time Shootout in Trenton, N.J.
Lauderdale was limited to five rebounds and four points on 1-of-9 shooting.

Mr. Basketball Candidates
Now that the regular season is in the books, debate will begin on who will walk away with Ohio's prestigious Mr. Basketball award, given to the top player in the state amongst all divisions.
This year, it seems as if anyone could walk away with the honor. Unlike some years past, there is no "Chosen One."
Could a player from Northeast Ohio take the honor this year? There are several players who definitely are in contention. Lets take a look at some of the possible candidates.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
Dallas Lauderdale, Solon Arguably the most dominant player in the area, the 6-foot-9 junior controlled the paint this season in leading the Comets to a 19-1 regular season slate. Averaging a double-double for the season, Lauderdale showed why he is a superb talent in an overtime victory over Mentor. He posted a triple-double, a rare feat for a big man, by netting 32 points and adding 15 rebounds and 10 blocked shots.
