C Dallas Lauderdale (Maine Red Claws - NBA G-League)

The Lauderdale and Hunter wingspan in the paint is going to be miserable for opposing scorers. We should own the glass next year. Koufos will most likely draw the tallest player from the other team or create ridiculous mismatches. When that happens Dallas will be free to bang inside and gain a lot of experience come Big 10 season.

If Dallas sees as much floor time as Hunter did this year, I will be very surprised. While he is physically gifted, he really needs to hone his basketball skills before he we can make a significant impact here.

Lauderdale scores 28, Diebler 31 in a 127-122 victory for the North in the Division I/II North-South Game.

Donnie Madzia rose from the bench as the midpoint of the second half approached at Sunday's Division I/II boys Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association North-South all-star game at Capital University.

Madzia walked to the end of the bench where Solon's Dallas Lauderdale sat. At the end of a short discussion, a dead ball occurred and Lauderdale walked onto the court to join Upper Sandusky's Jon Diebler.

"We wanted to get the OSU connection out there," said Madzia, coach of Harrison Central.

Behind the two Ohio State recruits, North won, 127-122.

Good to see these kids having fun and enjoying themselves. I hope that Lauderdale can refine his game enough to make an impact next year. I think if we can get every player in their role we're going to surprise a lot of people.

Nice game by Lauderdale...

All I can say is we have options next year in the front court...
It is going to be exciting to watch as Matta works through all the talent he has and molds that talent into a team. I can hardly wait!

Thanks for the link.

Everything looks good except the uni's. After all of the complaining about the football jersey switch last season, that I disagree with as I love the current football uni's, I cannot come to terms with those bball threads. LB23, Nike, or not, we've gotta have something better than that, no?

Wow, those uni's are miserable. No color in the shirt, and the pants are WAY too baggy. It makes the Fab 5 shorts look like they belong in the 70s.

Dallas looks mean.
Wallace looks like he should be playing for Tressel.
KK looks tall and wide.
Diebler looks like he's 14. It's like a dark-haired Jay Burson.
Turner looks like a player.

Should be another good year. Back-to-back Big 10 champs should make a run at a third straight title.

If the guys like them, I'm all for it. Personally, I don't, but who cares?

Cutting down nets is a beautiful thing no matter what the uniform looks like. And I get the feeling that we're gonna need some scissors at some point. Soon.
