Never Forget 31-0
I think some stiffer competition could help him raise his game quite a bit
Mullens is developing his game and from all accounts this past season continued to work on his weaknesses. The development of a "Big Man" sometimes takes several years while he is continuing to grow. With Will Dudley and staff working with Mullens, I feel good about him continuing to improve regardless of the fact he is playing in a lower division. I think his experience on the AAU circuit will be huge in his development as a player. Obviously, its hard to find true 7 foot centers who can move and at this early stage, Mullens has good feet, by that I mean, he is not slow by any means and this is key for a guy his size.
This past summer he got some AAU experience, playing against some good competition that included Ohio prospect and highly rated Yancey Gates and by all accounts Mullens performed well against Gates who is a very physical player.
Mullens is now up to 7-1 and around 250 pounds, he is starting to fill out his body. He has the potential to be a good one for tOSU....
