It's interesting to watch how this played out. I use InvisibleHand extension for Firefox, which adds a dropdown on store pages with other retailer prices. The list keeps jumping from $99 to $499 and everywhere in between.
Hopefully Amazon is paying attention. It would be nice if they priced their tablet (due in October) for volume rather than at iPad prices.

Just FYI
Before buying any HP products, do your homework...
HP is drastically realigning their product lines.. getting out of many smaller product areas..
May not be a real issue.. since the expected life of these products may not be significant (2-4 yrs?)... and generally HP product quality is very good.. so chances are good the product will be OK over your desired usage period...

Some of the people who bought from OnSale at Amazon have reported their orders were cancelled due to lack of inventory. I checked our affiliate page and we are showing 3 purchased, which is how many I bought before posting the link here so I know that should be wrong (they don't always show immediately, though). Mine had 2-day shipping but has not yet shipped - and I suspect given that I bought when they had the 32GB at $99 that I'm more likely to have a problem. I'll post if I see anything official, but if you bought just be aware. Anyone see theirs shipped?

Still no update for me, official word from the President of OnSale is that all of those whose orders are being canceled will receive emails shortly. Unfortunately I don't see my chances as being very high...

I purchased a TV, TV mount and a TouchPad on Sunday. I already hooked up the TV and the mount is waiting for me to get motivated.
An article I read said HP would be releasing more of their remaining TouchPad inventory this week...so we'll see. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.
Just found a link to a facebook page that basically says eat shit, we're probably cancelling your order.

I just got my cancellation notice. I know I ordered within seconds of the posting, and people are reporting getting tablets from this seller's Amazon account, so they clearly skipped me because I'd ordered the 32GB at $99. I've filed a complaint and asked that the seller be removed, and suggest everyone affected do the same. Terribly disappointed. I thought I was getting three tablets and now I'm back to not being able to afford one.Pheasant;1974246; said:
