Amazon has a good deal for duracell staycharged AAA rechargeable batteries. Deals for batteries are more sparse for non AAs, especially quality ones like this.


Over the weekend, I ordered the biggest bone nylabone makes, as my dog tears through the wolf bone. It was cheaper than a medium nylabone at Walmart.

Ordered a thunder jacket for my parents' dog to curb the frantic panicking during storms.

Just out of curiosity, how big is the biggest nylabone, I ask because my dog will devour a large rawhide in a few hours if he has his mind set to it. He doesn't always, but he weighs about 130 lbs and I'm looking for larger options. He is an "athletic" breed (though I have yet to see that in action), I am going to have to get a different harness for him, and everything that they have seen is for 90+, he is much larger. He has a 42" chest, to put that in perspective, I have a 45" chest. I went to PetSmart, they didn't even have one large enough according to their standards. I am totally revamping my theory of parenting when it comes to this dog, the bigger the better, or so it seems. He's not even a year old yet, and I know that Malamutes are not supposed to get that big, but this is our reality and Veterinary supplies have been x2. Well, they don't make harnesses or rawhides or heart worm medication x2, so, any leads would be a huge help.

My dog is a mutt with German, Boxer and maybe beagle resulting in 60 lbs, but she has the chewing power of a full size German.

The old bone became a shiv within 4-8 days of presentation, and was usually half gone by later that second week.

This one was chewed for hours yesterday and while the surface has been roughed up, it does not seem to.be breaking down very quickly.more of a stuffed and marred surface than an easy excavation.

We had a German Shepherd that had this problem, and it would destroy mucho property like doors, screens, and anything else that got into its way. We had to see the Vet for doggy drugs to dope it up during storms. But I would be interested in seeing how that vest works for you.

Will do. The amazon reviews sound promising, two insanely hyper dogs terrified by storms. One much calmer, the other it just halted the insane behavior and left him scared but not frantic. The poor dog was leaping into any open doorway he could find, including the dishwasher and fridge.

As far as medication, it tranquilized their last dog (90 lb yellow lab) but doesn't help much with this little mutt (looks like a cross between a bassett hound & a lab) that was rescued.

Both were terrific purchases. Unlike the wolf bone, my german/beagle/boxer mutt is merely slowly denting this bone. Over a few weeks, she's probably scratched off 1/3 to 2/3 of an inch.

The thunder shirt has been working great for my mom's mutt (40 lb, looks like a lab/dachshund mix). While they have not had a terrible storm since purchasing it, he always gets really nervous and shaky when any storm is brewing. Once it is on the shaking goes away.

Like many of the amazon reviewed dogs, he thinks the owners are crazy when it is being put on, but it seems to do the trick.
