Most DEFINITELY. It looks like most of the people who bought NCAA 12 only bought one item. Cumulatively, it brought in hundreds of dollars during a time when it's really needed. Paying off the server was great, but it did take everything we'd normally put toward helping BP and Clarity. I feel good about pushing this because Amazon really does a good job, and because it's a way people can help while doing things they would do anyway.

Would this book count toward BP?

Great deal on Canon dSLR cameras.

Canon EOS 60D 18MP DSLR Camera w/ 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS UD Zoom Lens + EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Lens + EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens + Tiffen UV Filter $1558 + Free Shipping

Basically, Canon is offering a rebate for camera + lens purchases. Amazon is applying those discounts instantly in the shopping cart when you check out.

Many folks like myself are buying the lens with the promo credit, then planning to sell the lens (in my case, just the 55-250 lens). I got a $200+ lens for $25 more than just the body alone, and it sells used on ebay for 160+.

...

I was surprised with two other credits after ordering. I got a mysterious $20 off credit applied at checkout. But even better...

$100 off Adobe Lightroom 3, a credit applied to your amazon account for use by october. This product is $300 new, frequently sold by Amazon for $180, meaning $80 for the full version.

And now yet another reason Amazon is a great business:

1) Today Amazon matched Buy.com's $150 price on Lightroom 3 (Full version). Understandably, they flew off the shelves. When I arrived, there were 2 copies left. During checkout, I realized I was logged in as a different user. After switching, that profile's cart was empty, and they sold out before I could add it again.

2) After chatting with an amazon CSR rep, they told me they couldn't adjust a price for a 3rd party seller, however

3) She was able to apply my $100 credit towards Lightroom 3 Upgrade. The system did not apply that promotion naturally, since it sold for $94.99, and the $100 credit may have been intended only for the full version.

4) She not only manually applied the discount, but gave me the difference ($5.01) as a credit on my account

Nice!

Tip: Use a different browser for BP's account. Not that I've ordered free MP3s for Clarity by accident or anything. :p

Hah, good tip. I actually switched over to Chrome, my backup, because FireFox was hanging.

I have added honu mobiles to BP's cart but always caught my mistake before placing the order.

There's a Kindle deal in-store at Best Buy. They lowered the price of the 3G "special offers" model to $139 and they are offering a $30 gift card with it (which you could probably use to buy an Amazon gift card on a return trip, since they sell those). This makes the 3G from Best Buy less than the non-3G Amazon is currently selling.

I've seen the "special offers" Kindle, and would definitely recommend going that route. The ads are only on the screen saver and in a banner on the library list. There are no ads when a book is being read. In the thread for this deal, people mention saving enough on the offers ads to recoup the price of the Kindle. Not sure about that one, but whatever works, eh?

Here is the link to the Slickdeals thread. Remember that they will overwrite your Amazon referrer, so if you are supporting BP, make sure you click one of our links before you shop at Amazon again.
