I live in Buffalo and work in an office with well over 100 UB alums. No one here cares. At all.

I've had maybe two conversations regarding the game and they've been along the lines of asking how big I expect Ohio State to win, and some snickering about the whole "State University of New York" thing.

Must be that noon kickoff. If this game was at 3:30 there would be more buzz.

I just wish we could play a tougher game in week 1 so that there would be more nervous excitement about the possible outcome. Against Buffalo, I'm spending more time worried about potential injuries against an overmatched opponent.

Looking back at our schedules the last 30 years, 1986 thru 1988 have to be the toughest OOC schedules ever:

They seem like a decent enough bunch as far as I can tell.

Saw a pic of their Oline on FB, look like a bunch of goofy bastards. Don't mean that in a bad way as they have some good beard going on. I think we win by a decent margin and could get way out of hand if we score fast and often.

Life is so busy right now I can't believe the season starts Saturday. With the new site I've been thinking how much things have changed over the past 10 years. Back then I knew about every player on the roster. Now I hardly follow recruiting and don't even get to know players until they step on the field.

For some reason we keep having kids during the season so hopefully my son will be as thoughtful as my daughter was and come after the weekly OSU game and not right before or during. Of course I missed the 2010 scUM game because she had jaundice and we had to take her back to the hospital so maybe she wasn't that thoughtful. Hopefully I'm 19 years away from the OSU game getting really interesting for me if you know what I mean.
