Game Thread Buffalo Bulls at tOSU, Aug 31, 12 ET, ESPN2

For me a game in the 'Shoe=scarlet, always, no exceptions no matter where I'm sitting. Has always been that way and I am not going to mess with tradition. That's just asking for bad voodoo.

I think Ohio State will cover the spread - however, I don't think Brax will run that much, and I suspect that we will see an offense that isn't showing much different from last year in terms of play calling - which reportedly was about 1/3 of what Herman wants to do. For Buffalo it should be very basic with a few teases thrown in. They will save the good, new stuff for Cal (if needed) and Wisky (which I think will be the first game we will see it all in full force).

But hey, if they want to come out in week 1 with the full package, I won't complain. Gotta save Brax some hits tho.

I didn't mean to imply that the entire playbook would be in play during game 1. I don't see the Buckeye staff shying away from getting play makers in space because they are worried about Cal.

I don't understand why people are complaining about Ohio State's schedule.

I mean we're the only ones playing an NFL team on our first game.

I mean yeah it's a team that couldn't win the Super Bowl in the 90s no matter how often they got there, but its still an NFL team.
And don't forget that 2000 yd rusher they had in OJ.e:biggrin:

Without Hyde or Smith I don't see tOSU pounding the ball on the ground all day, even though they could with Dunn and others. This will lead to a more than normal aerial attack, a slow clock, and high scoring.
60-10

Dunn and Ball aren't exactly small...they'd have no problem pounding the ball. That said, I think UFM wants to get EzE and DeSoto on the field as soon as he can, so...

The big question is will we see our punter or not in his 1st collegiate game:huh: or will he not have to punt the ball against this plunger raped opponent.

They will be outmatched, but I can't believe that we will be unstoppable. Dropped passes happen and so do missed holes in the running game.

I can't think of a game where the offense just kept moving that a punt never happened (without a team going for it on fourth)

but if we get past the 50 yard line our punter would just kicked the ball out of the end zone so what would be the purpose of punting.
