Buckeye Autograph Sessions (all merged)

The IX Center, Cleveland is having a big Auto Show this weekend where they'll have a bunch of guys signing for free with the price of admission to the show (including Teddy, Gonzo, and several other Buckeyes & Browns).

The Eastwood Mall, Youngstown is having a few Buckeyes doing events there this weekend as well.

I believe Cardboard Heroes still has quite a few signings coming in March at various stores. Check cheroes.com for specific dates.

And I just heard about a 'Grand Opening' event at a new Menards store in Sidney where they wil be having free sigs from Keith Byars on this coming Wed. and George Foster (Reds) on Thurs. (and some NASCAR auto and truck guys Mon. & Tues. I believe). So I'm going to find out more about those and probably hit them.

No matter which part of Ohio you're from, I'm sure Cardboard Heroes still has plenty of signings going on this month.

Good Luck :osu:

The new Menards is just past Lowes on S.R. 47. It's off I-75 at the restaurant exit (McDonalds & Burger King) heading west towards Versailes.

I called and confirmed that the signings are as follows:

Tues. 6th - Paul Menard, NASCAR & Matt Crafton, NASCAR Truck series
(with their vehicles)
Wed. 7th - Keith Byars
Thurs. March 8th - George Foster

All signings from 6 - 8. Autographs are free. Limit on sigs to be determined according to the number of people in line and store manager perogative. Pictures are not usually permited in the store, but the "Photo Police" will not be stopping pics from being taken unless Managment determines it to be a problem. Athletes to determine whether they want to pose for photos as well.

Do you know if they will have pics there to buy or do you have to bring your own item?

FYI on the auto show. Talked to the people at the OSUstore.com and they're merchandising the signing on Friday night. You can buy memorabilia pieces (balls, helmets, photos etc to get signed). Mentioned that if you wanted to get multiple autographs on the players you have to go thru the line again. One auto per player per pass thru the line I guess.

Ginn JR, Pittman, Gonzo, autograph session at ix center

Friday night at the IX center in Cleveland had Ginn, Pittman, and Gonzo signing autographs from 6-8.

To be nice about it........IT WAS HORRIBLE......

For starters they showed up 15 minutes late. There was about 1,500 people in line. The line was slow as hell. And they left 600+ buckeye faithfull stranded after we waited in line for 3 hours. They also sold pictures for 20 bucks each to have them signed. (however 600 of us had them unsigned).

Everyone that was left out was outraged that this was put together so poorly. This made the 3 look like a$$es. But in respect to them it wasnt there fault. Pontiac and BP gasoline put the show together and never should of let that many people stand in line that long.

However the 3 Cleveland natives should of looked at the 600+ and maybe stayed an extra hour to finish up.

Bottom line it took us 1.5 hours to get to the IX center from Fremont,OH.

$24 bucks to get in.
$40 bucks for pictures.
$30 bucks for mini helmet.
$15 bucks for food and beverage .
3 hours in line wasted and $109 spent.

Taking my 8 yr old brother to get No Autographs PRICELESS................

Thats why college football is the best, once you go pro the money goes to your head!!!!!!!!

Hold onto your pics and mini. You'll get them signed. It is tough when there are a bunch of guys together. People want to talk and take pictures. There is a thread dealing with autograph sessions all over the state. Keep an eye on it and you'll get your stuff signed.

It sucks that you didn't get the autographs, but that's a pretty broad statement to make. How do you know they didn't have other commitments that they had to fulfill and that's why they didn't stay? Sounds to me more like the whole thing was just poorly planned and put together.

All im saying is that if I was in there shoes and signing autographs, and I looked in the crowd and saw 600+ people waiting in line, I would not get up and leave them hanging. I could understand it if they did it at the Detroit Auto Show but come on its CLEVELAND. Bottom line is it was the Vendors fault, however show some class and stay an extra hour and finish up. After all we are the ones that go to the games and spend the money that will pay for the multi millions that they will make in the NFL.

After its all said in done I still bleed scarlet and gray......GO BUCKS!!!!:oh:
