1970 Autographed Football

Hello Buckeye Fans,

My Dad, Clancy Isaac, was the founder of the Block "O". He lived for the OSU Buckeyes.

In 1970 I was given an autographed football by the 1970 team. Woody Hayes, Jack Tatum, Rex Kern and others signed this football.

I am interested in giving up this piece of Buckeye history. I have no idea of its value (economic or sentimental).

Let me know if you have any interest in this football.

Best,

Chip Isaac

Seeing as how it is specifically addressed to you I can't imagine giving it up unless you're in dire financial straits. I sincerely hope that's not the case, and suspect you'll regret parting with it later.

Given it's personalized to you, Chip, I would think it's "sentimental value" is entirely up to you to appraise.

In my opinion, it's not worth much since it's deflated.

 :p

Seriously though, I would think you'd be better of selling it via auction (online or otherwise) in order to get the best price for it.

As Jake mentioned, I hope you're not unloading it due to dire circumstances. Good luck!

Ohio State Football Autograph Collectors

Not sure if there is a different place to post this on the site, or this is the right place (Moderators feel free to move if there is a better place)...

Interested in getting to know other Ohio State autograph collectors out there and see if we might be able to help each others collections. I collect autographs from players and coaches from any era of Ohio State history. Most of the emphasis on my Ohio State collection is Heisman winners or past coaches.

Feel free to PM me, reply, or shoot me an email. Go Bucks!

Thanks,
Matt

I have found a piece in an antique store. It is a cast iron replica of the 1922 Horse Shoe stadium....Im hoping it is a piece that commemorated the opening of the shoe...I have the Vice President of Athletic operations Gene Smith interested in finding this info for me. If anyone knows anything about this let me know...Gene Smith says this is a vey rare piece....My Avatar is a picture of it.
