Brady "XLLL" Hoke (Head Coach San Diego State)

Picked this up off a UM board:

Comments from a father of a son that has gotten interest from both Michigan and Michigan St, after his unofficial to East Lansing this Saturday:

The physical difference in the offense and defensive line was startling. You could see that state guys look stronger and more fit. We were totally caught off guard by the game. If any Michigan recruits attended, they are shell shocked. I still can't believe what I saw. These dude sack Devin 7 times and hit him 24 times? Shocking. I didn't expect this at all. Then ... I sat 5 rows behind Michigan bench. Hoke was shook. It was like he didn't know what to do. Made no adjustments and then it spread to the kids. I felt sooooo bad for Devin. They hit that brother soooo hard. The o-line got dominated and even Lewan was getting beat. It's player development. During our trip, they said that Michigan get all they high profile recruits but that we get a special breed of player and develop them into elite players that go to the NFL, etc. Michigan strength coach, D-Line coach, and O-Line coach are suspect. I watch State pre-game drills. That stuff was nice. I had another coach with me and we looked at each other and said "whoa." The technique was crazy. Then... we went to the 50 yard line and watch Michigan, those coaches had those boys doing basic club and rip moves like high school. State was teaching the d-line how to rotate the shoulders of the o-line so that they can allow the pressure to get through. Their technique reinforced the scheme. It was seamless. I was impressed today. Very impressed.

My next door neighbor is a huge fan of Michigan football. He goes around 6'5" and weighs 360 or better. He played semi pro ball here in Florida until 2006. He made the Pro Hall of Fame in semi pro football also and has a huge ring to prove it. I watched the game with him. His wife is a "Gator" fan - so every year him and his wife put on great party and invite all the people of our cul-de-sac and its a great atmosphere with two
TV's on, people swimming and gator fans eating & watching the games. All was going great until the 4th
quarter of both games. The gators were crushed by Georgia and it was a brutal scene for Michigan. And for scott it was a crushing blow. He got up out of his chair went outside and took down his "Go Blue" Michigan
flag.............he has never done that before. He would always wait until after the Ohio State - Michigan game was over. He hated RR and was so happy see Brady Hoke come as the new coach. I wonder what he thinks of Hoke now. His only saving grace will be, IF Michigan can beat Ohio State. But............we shall wait and see.

Well, his job is safe. It wasn't his fault.

Hoke: We didn't execute as well as they did.

Reporter: That was it?

Hoke: Pretty much.

Thank goodness, I was worried.

It's never his fault. Big contrast between Meyer and Hoke. Meyer will lament the coaching staff failed the players by not putting them in a position to win after wins! Hoke says the players just can't follow a game plan or the coaching they were given. They just don't execute.

Humiliating
This was a humiliating loss. How did we get from the initial Hoke press conference to this? Everyone, starting with the head coach, needs a major gut check.

Gut?

THIS- Can you imagine a Meyer presser after a performance like Michigan's yesterday. I can guarantee that he would not point to 6 to 8 plays and say they were the difference. Meyer would rip the podium up like Woody did the yardmarkers.
