I wouldn't dispute the comparison on the narrower points Grad made, but Maniac is also right on the broader point that there is a gulf in class between the two.

Hoke will not leave that job with a winning record against his rival. His players or boss will not protest when he's gone. He will not coach there for nine seasons. He will not take his team to a Rose Bowl. His assistants will not accomplish a quarter of what Coach Bruce's assistants have.

True, Capo, but at least Earle won 9 games or more 8 years in a row and ended up with a winning record against Michigan, and was within 2 points of winning the national title in his first year.
