Brady "XLLL" Hoke (Head Coach San Diego State)

He said that Morris would have practiced but for his high ankle sprain, so perhaps he is not, in fact, concussed.

That is good news, as we can get back to ripping on the overrated douchey turd burgler.. But, it doesn't change the fact that he should have been given a concussion test, if nothing else, and he clearly was not so given.

I haven't watched the replay yet, but multiple UM friends of mine felt Morris was walking towards the sidelines after two big hits only to be put back in.

They're clearly hunkering down and hoping to weather this out. Which is just a ridiculous strategy. But not surprising given the way that athletics department has handled itself since Brandon took over.

Regardless of what their crack medical team says, it does not negate the indisputable video evidence that Morris was clearly woozy (to the point of practically collapsing into his teammate's arms) after the hit and allowed to remain in, and then ran back out there to sub for Harmon some 90 seconds later...which isn't even close to enough time to evaluate a player for a concussion. They're gonna come out and say he doesn't have a concussion to justify everything, once again allowing the crux of the argument to escape them. What an absolutely broken program. Christ. I'm embarrassed to be associated with them through a rivalry.

I'm surprised that Hoke didn't say, "He wasn't concussed. He was just seeing stars, that's all."
He pretty much dodged all that by referring to some medical staffer who is gonna address the media too. Hoke kept coming back to the ankle - saying shit like "football players get dinged up all the time. He knows if he can't go to go down, and he didn't so..."

I saw it live, and I don't know that I agree with your UM friends. He was clearly out on his feet and wandering around a bit, but I didn't see him coming off, only to be sent back in. In fact, he waved off a substitution immediately following the hit.

Well in fairness Shane waved his hands which is universally known as the "I'm not concussed signal".
Which according to Brady was "All I needed to know". Man...picking on Hoke was just fun before...now it's going to get nasty.

But, didn't you hear? He only stumbled into Branden's arms because he had a ouchy ankle.

Watching it today (I didn't watch it on Saturday), it did not seem indisputable to me, or even preponderantly likely, that Morris was discombombulated after the high hit. He certainly stumbled and was caught by a teammate, but it seems entirely plausible to me that that was due to the ankle injury. And when he waved the sideline off a moment later, I thought he had the appearance of being in possession of his faculties. None of which is to say that he clearly was not halfway knocked out, I just don't think there is any clear indication that he was.
