Brady "XLLL" Hoke (Head Coach San Diego State)

He should be fired and today simply for this. Absolutely disgusting

If Brady Hoke isn't going to protect this kid enough so he can actually make it to THE GAME, then Brady Hoke, and it would seem many others on that staff need to go. I hate to say that without using sarcasm font but it's the truth. The combination of Head coach Hoke and his 5* QB "Suga Six" Morris are what Buckeye dreams of THE GAME are made of. Neither one are competent enough to fit the job description their positions require. They are a perfect pair that can help inch the Buckeyes closer to owning the series.

I just don't know how that can happen now. How Hoke or anyone else on that staff allowed him to go back in after taking that hit, and watching him come to the sidelines is fucking criminal. Hasn't any of these morons heard about the the "concussion issue"? Especially in the world of football? Is there a story out there yet that says they were screaming not to let "suga" back in over the headsets yet? I mean fuck michigan football, I could care less what it does to them. What bothers me is this just gives fuel to the folks that want to add to the fire of pussifying this sport even more.
Well fuck that..FIRE HOKE and whoever else needs to go NOW!

The ABC News segment was huge. There's no university on the planet more image and spin-control obsessed than M. One has to wonder whether the President and Board step in and overrule pizza boy and whack Flintstone this week to make some public statement.

Personally, I'd prefer that Ohio State kick that fat fuck one last time in the sternum, but that's just me.
I dunno. Last games for fired coaches can sometimes get a team fired up to do something beyond their normal ability - like for instance Earl Bruce's last win, down by 14 at half (?) the Buckeye's came back to win one for the coach. There is some talent on this team - and the same Gardner that threw more interceptions than TDs put on one hell of a show in last year's match up - they could come into the game sky high and "get real lucky."

Yeah but last year's defense, I could look like an All American QB

After watching Hoke's post game remarks, I think maybe he was the one with the head injury. Egads, if I was a TSUN alum (perish the thought), I would be embarrassed beyond words to have that maroon stand up there hemming and hawing like a drunk. I bet the pressure from within is building to the breaking point. Would it be ethical for us to, through donations, pay off their next 6 opponents to take a dive so as to save his job?

I have a gut feeling that this piece of sh*t gets fired today, just seems like one of those days. To say 'I don't know if he had a concussion' is ridiculous that's why they(should) have medical staff there to determine whether he has suffered an injury. I may be wrong by the end of the day but something just tells me his days are over.

Not sure they will disclose that. You'd think, under the circumstances, they'd want to make it known if he did not. I looked around the 'net yesterday and could not find anything.

But, someone in UM legal did write a statement for Brady, which is circulating around:

The safety of our student-athletes is always our top priority. We generally never discuss the specifics of a student-athlete's medical care, but Shane Morris was removed from yesterday’s game against Minnesota after further aggravating an injury to his leg that he sustained earlier in the contest. He was evaluated by our experienced athletic trainers and team physicians, and we're confident proper medical decisions were made. The University of Michigan has a distinguished group of Certified Athletic Trainers and team physicians who are responsible for determining whether or not a player is physically able to play. Our coaches have no influence or authority to make determinations if or when an injured player returns to competition. The health and welfare of our student-athletes is and will continue to be a top priority.

Not to damper any enthusiasm or fun of tearing down the fat man but it doesnt look like a helmet to helmet hit to me. Obviously it could still be a concussion if his head bangs the ground there but to me it seems he's limping like a leg or low back problem later on when he comes back in which might explain why he wasnt standing very well either after the play where he got hit.

Doesnt matter big picture the 3rd stringer should have known where his helmet was and been in the game when Gardner comes out but I guess they aren't running a very tight ship.

I kinda missed everything that happened... so can someone give me the cliff's notes on this whole Hoke/Zac Morris/Gardner Harmon deal?
Morris was getting his ass kicked for 3+ quarters to the point he was clearly favoring his left leg. At this point, even the announcers began calling for Hoke to pull him for his own safety. Hoke leaves him in. Shortly after, he suffers a wicked/illegal helmet-helmet hit from a varmint defender. He gets up clearly woozy, and practically collapses into one of his lineman's arms. He regains composure and waves off a substitution. He should not have that call. He stays in (I think) one more play and is pulled.

Gardner enters and gets his helmet knocked off after three plays, meaning he has to sit out a play. 3rd string QB Bellomy cannot find his helmet. Instead of calling a timeout to allow Gardner to return, they send a woozy Morris back out. It should be noted by this time, even the crowd can sense the kid isn't right and has been booing with great gusto. The announcers are going crazy as well. After the game, Morris leaves the field on a cart. Hoke claims post-game that he didn't know Morris was badly hurt.

As bad as all of that sounds, it played out worse in real-time. Just a horrific sequence and a real low for not just scUM, but football in general given all of the controversy surrounding head injuries. It was surreal to watch it happen. It was also the literal death knell of Brady Hoke's coaching career. The only question now is does scUM have the balls to shitcan him now for gross negligence.
