Brady "XLLL" Hoke (Head Coach San Diego State)

Athlon ranked every coach and Hoke-ster didn't fare so well. They ranked him 38th nationally, and 8th in the B1G behind Urban, Dantonio, Franklin, Fitz, Anderson, Ferentz, and Kill. As additional jab to the stones, they ranked dickrod #30.

The fat man is backtracking on his archaeac recruiting style after most recently having Shaun Crawford decommit. Im sure he won't change his style, but will cater it more to high end recruits, as he'll need to in order to keep his job.

That's nice of him to want an early signing period...which in the case of Shaun Crawford would screw a high school kid out of making absolutely sure which school he wants to go to.

I'm not just saying this because it's Ohio State/Michigan. The kid clearly has decided he might want to go to a different school. With an early signing period, he'd be stuck with his first decision. Without an early signing period, he realizes that might not be what he wants.

It just forces kids to actually think through their decisions, instead of going with the hot product of the moment.

Yeah but that's not what he's looking for it to do. All coaches who want an early signing period want to be able to lock kids up early and not have to worry about decommits. Nobody is going to change the way they recruit the kids who are committing early by saying "I know you want to commit, but just think about it to make sure you're sure."
