Brady "XLLL" Hoke (Head Coach San Diego State)

It's funny that he's admitting they have a culture and entitlement problem. We've been saying that since his first recruits started running their mouths about disrespect and returning to greatness while consistently showing up for fall camp overweight and out of shape.

It's even funnier that he's blaming the lack of competition for their entitlement problems rather than looking at his own "career .500 coach who has never won a conference title and grew up in Ohio rooting for Michigan just to be an obnoxious douchebag" reflection.

I know this is painting with too broad a stroke, but I instantly question the work ethic, motivation and character of any kid (or family) that buys what Hoke is selling.

Not even close to being a decent article that went with this "Someone should Photoshop to improve this" graphic is available here.

The hiring of UFM should have a number at least.

OK, Someone will have to explain this to me. Hoke lets a turnover prone QB who had never led his team to anything to PERMANENTLY wear the retired number of the greatest player that university has ever produced and then blames the entitlement problem with his team on a lack of depth.

Right.

So I'm at our house on the west side of the state up north. North north part of the west side.

Suffice it to say, there's a lot of green and white that is up here. When talking to the locals it's always fun. I referred to A^2 as a "clown show" and mentioned that the only down side to this season is the complete "Three Stooges on Grass" retrospect that I expect. They're totally on the same page. We all seemed to agree that it's going to be a shame that, the seat being as hot as it is, it's likely to create a vacancy at the helm again... and we'd all just assume have the head clown in charge for another five years or so.

Fuck Michigan. The only thing this state is good for is inexpensive golf.

Suga Shane didn't embarrass himself in their bowl game. So he has that going for him, which is nice. Of course, it was a ridiculously simplified game plan. I don't recall him completing a pass >10 yards the whole game. It was obvious he wasn't ready to run a real college offense. Will be interesting to see what kind of strides he made in the offseason. Gardner played pretty well for them after his turnover flurry the first 4-5 weeks. Especially given the fact he was getting his ass handed to him Appollo Creed vs Drago style from October on. It's a miracle he wasn't in a body cast after The Game.

I'm curious to see what, if any, improvements they make under Nussmeier. He led some really efficient offenses at bammer, but those teams out talented everyone they played and consistently had some of the best OLs in the nation. Along with an elite stable of RBs and one of the most successful college QBs of all-time. The fact that bammer apparently didn't put up much of a fight to keep him says to me that they felt he wasn't all that critical to their success. He'll have none of those advantages now. He inherits an offense that sent benchmarks for futility.

You've piqued my curiosity (because if I watched this game originally, I honestly don't remember it).
