I doubt they are afraid of him at all. Hell it's like Savage said....everyone else is in on time....it's hard and probably a bit embarassing to be the only hold out on the team. Like I said the Browns aren't getting hurt by this because he wasn't going to start. He is just putting more setbacks in his way and more time that he will have to sit just to learn how to play in this league. HIS LOSS! GO BROWNIES!Best Buckeye;892028; said:Correct and his lack of accuracy is probably what is stalling the negotiations. I wonder how afraid of him the browns are now, if they are at all.

From everything that I can gather. The loser of the Frye v. Anderson contest will not be on the team any longer. The Browns really like having Dorsey as a player-coach and an emergency QB.NFBuck;892025; said:I agree completely. I'm just worried if we do get off to a slow start and RAC decides to make a change that he'll go right to Quinn as opposed to Anderson. From all the reports, Quinn has struggled mightily with his accuracy in practices he participated in...just like most of us predicted he would. The Browns fan in me really does want to see him succeed, but the real me just doesn't see it. I'm still pissed we gave up so much to get him and he's gonna have to do quite a bit to win me over as a fan.

Cleveland Browns' Brady Quinn feels holdout is right thing
Browns rookie QB says he has to make sure contract is 'fair'

Browns rookie quarterback Brady Quinn said Monday from Arizona he feels he's doing the right thing by waiting for the right deal, even though it's difficult.
"I'd love to be there competing for the starting job," said Quinn, who has missed the first four days of camp. "But it's a long contract, and I have to make sure it's fair in the event I become the starter."
Quinn said he trusts his agent, Tom Condon, who was named the most powerful agent in football by The Sporting News in 2006. Condon represents some of the biggest-name quarterbacks in the league, including Peyton and Eli Manning, Drew Brees, Chad Pennington and Matt Leinart. He also represents former Browns No. 1 pick Tim Couch, who just signed with Jacksonville.

Columnist Bud Shaw says Browns need to get Brady Quinn in

Nobody roots for Goliath, or the training-camp holdout.
The usual factors are grinding on Brady Quinn this time around.
It's the same old dance. Negotiations slow to a waltz. Player gets slammed for not being eternally grateful for the chance to play pro football - and in this case wear the proud jersey of a 4-12 team - while the organization earns a free pass for not getting him into camp on time.
If Quinn and the Browns haven't reached an agreement in another week, there will be so many warnings that he's falling hopelessly behind you'll think he was a rocket scientist pulling a Ferris Bueller with a launch just around the corner.
Quinn has managed to incur double the customary wrath. He's skewered for not only missing training-camp repetitions but for having the audacity to accept memorabilia company money to show up at a public autograph session.

as much as i dislike BQ, this is not true. he struggled his first day throwing 3 picks.. he didn't throw 3 the rest of the time he was there and looked impressive from everything i've read. i think this is why he's holding out.. because he actually did well in camp.NFBuck;892025; said:I agree completely.
