Brady Quinn (Fox CFB Analyst)

personally, i think the browns will try to trade charlie but they wont do it until after the season. Football trades are very unlikely during preseason/season.

I think Anderson should get the nod, with charlie being #2 and Quinn being 3rd. Put Dorsey on the practice squad until next season then he can be #3.

But the worst thing about the browns QB situation is that you usually want your "QB of the Future", like Quinn is supposed to be, to be learning from a vet. Not a guy that has only played in 5 NFL games (DA) or 20 games (CF).

imo i think Quinn should sit for 2 seasons. Let him watch either DA or CF this year and then trade one or both of them for a decent NFL Starting QB that has been in the league for a few years so he can learn from a true vet.

That will also give the line time to gel together.

I think that is what they tried to do with Dilfer/Frye, but Trent had no real interest in being a mentor as it seems to be with a lot of the vets now days. So, in essence the Browns have tried the Vet/New guy approach once and it failed, badly. You could say it failed twice, actually. The Jeff Garcia experiment was embarrassing as well. I can see them going a different direction this time.

yeah but was frye considered a "franchise qb" the browns were the only ones really high on him becoming that.

If the browns can solidify the line (which they have taken great steps in doing) and then let quinn sit for a FULL year. They might get something going in 2008.

if they are 2-4 then we're in trouble and brady may be coming in.

1.) i dont think brady is an nfl qb
2.) if he is, he needs to sit this entire season, get the carson palmer treatment and let him adjust unless they are better than 2-4.. if the season is a wash let him develop

im optimistic with the return on bently.. all the sudden the browns have one of the top couple lines in the NFL, and thats where it all starts

I just hope that Bentley makes it through camp/preseason. If he does it will be one of the best stories of the year, not just for the Browns, but the entire NFL. We're all pulling for you LeChuck.

seriously, could we let Brady do anything in the NFL before we annoit him starter of the Browns........thus far the only pub he has gotten has been bad....

As reported by ESPN's John Clayton, he said Brady has been unable to hit the broad side of a barn and was about to complicate issues by holding out...not only that, but the Browns were considering asking him to drop weight to help his mechanics....why should we automatically assume this guy is the answer? He may only be a terrible draft day trade whom turns into Tim Couch.....honestly, if next year is about wins, Brady prob shouldn't start...if it's about developing for the future, Brady can start but it will be at the expense of Romeo Crnnel and possibly Savage

It will be interesting to see how the season plays out.....no matter what, we will be at the bottom of the league however

I am going to wait on forming my opinion of Brady Quinn as an NFL QB until the guy actually gets a chance to prove us right/wrong. I am at least willing to admit that I am over the fact that he played his college ball at No D, which was tough, without a doubt.

However, don't tell the king that Brady might be losing some of that muscle tone. He's been through a lot, and I think it helps him sleep at night.

At least with Couch, something good came out of it. I bought his jersey, and when it became painfully obvious that he wasn't the answer, you could just scratch the first letter off the back of the jersey, as to make "COUCH" read "OUCH." It gets rave reviews every time I wear it inside the stadium. Good to see us Browns fans have a sense of humor, we definitely need one.

I heard on the radio today that Quinn had an autograph signing this weekend in Cleveland. People waited in line for hours only to find out that the minimum cost of getting and autograph was $75 and that was just for a picture of him. If you brought something for him to sign, too bad, that was even more. First of all I don't know why anyone would be willing to pay anything for this tool to sign something, but it seems to me that he is trying to get as much money as fast as he can before camp since he knows he is going to hold out, which will cause some bad blood with Browns fans. Of course the reason that he is going to hold out IMO is because he is going to want way more money than he is worth so it will take a long time to come to an agreement. I think he is afraid that he is going to be a bust and this is the only contract that he is going to get. From hearing some other first round holdouts talk every single one of them wishes that they had taken a little bit less and made it to camp on time. It's the second contract that you're supposed to make most of your money Quinnster.

As a Browns fan I fear the Brown's will cave in to his demands. They have been over paying for talent for the last decade. It's not like the Browns are headed to the playoffs this year anyway. The Browns need to protect the salary structure so if this guy is a bust they won't have dead cap money in the years to come.

Quinn's agent is in Cleveland as we speak which they say is a good sign. Typically, this particular agent doesn't even go to the teams city until way after camp has already started.

I think Quinn's contract should be very performance based. If he does well, he gets paid. If not, he gets what the #22 pick should. MAybe 10 million guaranteed then incentive based.

Quinn still thinks he was the N01 pick. I think he is imagining himself as the starter already and even if that happens he is in for a rude awakening.
A lot depends on how much the Brownies improved their line if at all.

It's not as if he's the first to charge (alot) for an autograph. Autograph seekers are clowns anyway.
