Bracketology and Selection Sunday Discussion

Sometimes the grasp he has on reality isn't the strongest when it comes to Ohio State basketball (example: Thinking Shannon Scott was ever going to supplant Aaron Craft)....
What makes you an expert? Easy to criticize someone else in hindsight when you never go out on a limb to start with. Clearly Scott has not become quite the player that we all hoped he would, although he has stepped up offensively lately.

I do not know maybe this is just my thinking but I think that the NCAA selection committee should give a little more thought to where they put schools. I am completely baffled why Ohio State and VCU, and even Wisconsin to a certain extent, were put out in Portland Oregon where some schools much closer to Oregon than those two were placed East of the Mississippi River. I know that the Committee is trying to do a delicate balancing act but I also thought that the NCAA was supposed to be thinking about the scholar athletes on these teams and putting them closer to where their schools are located would certainly help with regard to travel time not to mention preparation.

They already do this, but the hard truth is that you're not going to achieve balance without forcing some teams to sacrifice.

The real joke is losing to Stephen F Austin. SFA's starting "center" is a white dude they list at 6'6" 210#, and I'm dead serious when I say their rim protection strategy involves a lot of fouling to prevent easy shots because they know they can't block them. And VCU lost to this team last year. Just goes to show you if you can execute you can beat VCU no matter who you have on your team.

It's pretty bad when you lose to just one guy. Even worse when he's been dead for nearly 180 years.

You'd think a basketball fan would respond to last year with an OSU tourney example from last year. Even if you don't follow the sport much, it was a rather big deal in the state.
Last year is a given.

Trying to give a more historical context.

Not sure why you guys thought it was irrational to make a one and out prediction considering the spread is only about 2.5 pts.

This team is a one man show and has not shown any hint of a consistent ability to play at a high level.

I stand by my prediction with the hope that I am wildly incorrect.
