Bracketology and Selection Sunday Discussion

I do not know maybe this is just my thinking but I think that the NCAA selection committee should give a little more thought to where they put schools. I am completely baffled why Ohio State and VCU, and even Wisconsin to a certain extent, were put out in Portland Oregon where some schools much closer to Oregon than those two were placed East of the Mississippi River. I know that the Committee is trying to do a delicate balancing act but I also thought that the NCAA was supposed to be thinking about the scholar athletes on these teams and putting them closer to where their schools are located would certainly help with regard to travel time not to mention preparation.

Wiscy is playing in Omaha 1st, but yes they are in the Los Angeles region. But I am more of the mindset that the tournament has two pods that are way too close together for the West, Portland and Seattle. When there are only 2 good teams in the Mountain West or West time zones, you don't need two different first round sites for them on the west coast (and especially not both in the Pacific Northwest). Certainly this year it does not appear that the first round sites are very well spaced out geographically, with only 2 sites south of Louisville, both from the East coast (Charlotte and Jacksonville), and the two Western sites so close together. Omaha, Seattle and Portland are the only 1st & 2nd round sites West of the Mississippi.

This is the problem. There simply aren't enough quality teams out West to justify the number of first-round sites located there. Pretty clear here:

Last year is a given.

Trying to give a more historical context.

Not sure why you guys thought it was irrational to make a one and out prediction considering the spread is only about 2.5 pts.

This team is a one man show and has not shown any hint of a consistent ability to play at a high level.

I stand by my prediction with the hope that I am wildly incorrect.
I don't think it was irrational. We all know the severe flaws of this team (primarily the word itself) . I just decided to poke some fun at a drive by post.

2 Seed wow......I don't see that happening but I thought a 4 seed might be possible. With the NCAA now showing 1 month before Selection Sunday the current teams in each region 1-4 seeds and ranking them 1-16 overall it will be very interesting to see exactly where Ohio State stands at that time because they are all over the place on people's boards seen them as low as a 7 seed in some places and this is the firsts time I have seen them above a 4 seed I can't believe Joe has them as a 2 seed right now.

Not sure what is so funny. I put a lot of work into making my projections and I am as good as anyone in the nation doing it. I don't get paid like Jerry Palm but I do a much better job then he does I have outscored him 9 times in the last 11 years with 1 time being a tie. I have got all 68 teams right twice in the last 5 years (2013 and 2017) and I have score more points than anyone on the bracket matrix 2 out of the last 3 years (2015 and 2017) so ya I guess that is funny or something.
