Boise State 33, Virginia Tech 30 (final)

Huskers Gameday (HuskersGameday) on Twitter
HuskersGameday Tom Osborne previously called Boise State about playing a home-and-home with Huskers starting in 2014. Boise State turned down the offer

Yeah, Boise State doesn't dodge anybody. What a load. And before you try to say their schedule is full, I give you this: the 2014/2015 Boise State schedules and 2014/2015 Nebraska schedules. Note that there are two open weeks to start the season that would work for both.

Wonder if this was after proposing a home-and-home-and-home.

NU makes a schedule proposal to Boise St.

Considering how much revenue a school like Nebraska gets from a home game, and how much they need to fund their non-revenue sports, I think 2-1 was a pretty reasonable offer.

But but anyone anywhere. . .right? Funny how they complain of not being able to play top shelf programs but you will see these reports from time to time of them turning down games. Sure they don't get the best deal but so is life when you have smurf turf and are not a BCS school.

Oh well they can just play Idaho instead. Oh wait... never mind.

If your Boise don't you have to take that deal to get a shot at a good BCS team on your home turf?

Bronco Stadium holds 33,000 seats.
Memorial holds 81,000

If you are going to lose a home game, you need to guarantee that the lost revenue will come up from somewhere, otherwise, what is the point?

that's one reason for not wanting the two for one.

The irony of all this, is that,if Ohio State can run the table with convincing wins thru the whole season and the same goes for Boise State - then would there be a good possibiliy that both schools could play for the BCS National
Championship. In 1994 Boise State played YSU for the 1-AA N/C and was no contest. YSU 24 - Boise State 10, under Jim Tressel. Of course that was 16 years ago and times have changed abit but I would love to see the 2 teams
just for Tressels sake to see if he can guide the Buckeyes to another N/C only this time for a 2nd victory in his tenure as head coach. That would be a sweet way to add to his legend.

Actually, it was 28-14. BSU had a defensive back that had only one arm...guess you could say they were short-handed in the secondary.
