Can Va Tech kill the talk of Boise St in the BCS Title Game right off the bat?

This game is at FedEdx Field in Landover, Md.
 
Will the joke being played on college football end tonight, or will we have to hear about it all season? Relying on the Hokies in a nationally televised opener could be problematic.

Oh I hear ya man. The crazy thing is, what if Boise and TCU go undefeated? Would those two play for a NC ahead of say a one loss Big Ten team or a one loss SEC team? Let the craziness begin. Va Tech really needs to win this one...for the rest of the college football world.

Besides a game or two, the Hokies generally start their seasons on fire and then lose 3 or 4 of their last 7 or something like that. Hopefully they can destroy Boise tonight and kill the ongoing obsession. On the other hand, Kellen Moore is no joke and should be good enough to keep the Broncos in this one til the end no matter what.

I don't hate Boise. I hate mediots who rank them 3rd in the country and attempt to legitimize them based on a couple of upsets.

They're 6-7 versus BCS teams since 2002 and 2-4 in their last 6 bowl games. They dominate the WAC. Big whoop.

Not going to bet on this one. My heart says Va Tech, my head says Boise St.

I'm really pulling for VT to derail the Boise love train, but I don't think they're good enough to do it.

I wouldn't characterize myself as a Boise St. hater....but I want them to lose. It just doesn't seem right that they could have a shot at the BCS title game with that schedule. Hell OSU had to beat five 10 win teams last year. Boise will likely play 1 maybe 2 including bowl game.
