Apparently installing a radically different offensive philosophy is more than a 1-year process.
Great point for those of us (myself included) calling for radical change in the OSU offense.
It sure could be worse.
You could be coming off a NC, returning 15 starters, rated pre-season #3, and just missed losing your third game and droppping from the top 25 altogether.
You could be a fan of a school that is being led by the greatest coach in the history of the school, wincing every week as they spiral to the bottom of the Big Ten.
You could have just lost for the fifth straight year to your #1 rival and gotten shut out in the process (and losing to that team by an average of 27 points per game during those 5 games).
You could be a fan of one of the legendary programs of college football history like Alabama, Nebraska, or Notre Dame and wondering when it will ever turn around.
Or you could be two years removed from a NC with a team rebuilding from sending 14 players to the NFL and coming off a loss to a team that returns 17 starters and starts 12 Seniors and is probably flat out better than you are and yet know that if you had not lost a star RB to the most absurd of circumstances you would likely be 5-0 and in the top 5 in the country.
It could be one hell of a lot worse.
