Received a broadcast schedule e-mail from BTN. Butler By'not'e is the analyst for the Eastern Illinois at Purdue game. There's also a Scott Graham doing play-by-play for the Bowling Green at Michigan State game (could it be Scottie Graham?). Of course, we already have another Buckeye football alum doing games for BTN (Mike Tomczak).
Great news about some Buckeyes, Yeah I Hope that is Scottie Graham. He ran behind Robert Smith If I remember correctly. Also spent a few years in the pros.

Kind of funny:

Half way through the 4th quarter the stadium scoreboard had an add for the BTN. Many of those left in the stadium booed it.

Another round of booing today at the stadium in the 3rd quarter when the BTN commercial apperared on the scoreboard.

The BTN is inferior. Niche programming with pretty bad football past the top 3 or 4 schools (being generous this year).

Wish the BTN a quick and hasty doom. Especially with how they think its all of the midwest's God given right to have it on their basic lineup or not at all. Gay.

For those of you who live in Ohio, this certainly seems to be a crappy deal.

For me though, I now have a station that shows Buckeye Replay, the Coach's Show (whatever they call it), and replays of games from weeks and years past that I actually care about. This gives me access to things I didn't have before.

For that reason, I hope it lasts. For your sake, I hope that they come to an agreement with the carriers in the "Big 10 footprint", sooner rather than later.

Seems as if many of the major conferences are heading this direction. I think BTN is here to stay, and I'm sure it'll improve, even if the games it covers do not improve much.

Every Major conference is heading in this direction.

I was watching the Eagles today on Fox and the BTN ran an ad slamming Comcast for not carrying the BTN. Pretty good stuff...felt like November in an election year.

I was too drunk to comment on the coverage of week 1, but I thought that week 2 was just as good or better than any other low profile game that I've seen over the last few years.

I like the idea of other conferences doing this too. Especially if it means that I can get an out of market reduced price for SEC, ACC, Pac-10, etc. The amount of games that I would be able to choose from on a regualr basis weighed against having to pay a little extra for Big Ten games isn't even close to being a bad thing for me.

We're going to need a lot more bandwidth to carry all these networks....and it'll come at a cost. The days of full coverage for the Gameplan fee are gone....for better or for worse.

There are plenty of underutilized channels in the pay-per-view brackets.
