If watching BTN games this season, it's quite obvious that Chris Martin's phrase of the season is "That Dude".

Watching parts of Thursday's Media Day, Martin may have said "That Dude" about 20 times (he was only on screen for 30 min. tops).

This is the one area that BTN may have to improve. The game analysts for football are kind of ESPNU-ish (since Martin is the lead analyst). They speak in buzzwords (which isn't limited to just BTN, because ESPN analysts do the same).

Chris Martin is living proof that even Northwestern makes the occasional exception for the admission of a good athlete.

I hate pretty much all of the "talent" on BTN. They're all lame and annoying. Especially Dinardo.

I like looking at Charissa Thompson, but she may not be at BTN anymore.

Jimmy Jackson for basketball, but that's because he's Jimmy Jackson and is usually paired with Gus Johnson (which neutralizes any color commentator).

Glen Mason saying "Ohio" throughout broadcasts like someone from Ohio is always fun.

I only watch BTN's Saturday kickoff stuff (10-12 p.m.) to avoid ESPN, support the conference and it has more info than GameDay and less soft pieces or promotional pieces of ESPN "property".

I think Howard Griffith is a decent analyst but other than him i really dont like any of the BTN "talent" for football.Dinardo just cant hide his jealousy of OSU and it really affects his commentary

Congrats to Gerry Dinardo.....he has lasted five (5!) years as an analyst for the BTN. That is two years longer than he lasted as coach at LSU and maybe two longer than he lasted as head coach at Indiana. I guess not being held accountible for your talking is much easier than being held accountible for your coaching (at both schools). I guess he has found his niche.

He seems to like to bash the headliner (OSU) while pumping up the up-and-comers (PSU, Neb, MSU, Iowa). He must still be smarting from the 'Oh-fer' that OSU gave him while he was striding the sidelines at Indiana. Anyone remember those scores?

Just abour every IU coach since 1952 has gone 0-fer against us. In the last 51 games, IU has won two (1987 and 1988). That's 2-47-2 against us.

In fact, bookending those two wins were a 31-game winless streak (0-30-1, including a 23-game losing streak) and the current 19-game winless streak (which includes the current 17-game losing streak).

The OSU football class of 1987-1990 can't be too proud of going 1-2-1 against IU (average score of those games being IU 33, OSU 20).

I think they switched to an hour last year. If anyone else remembers, when they started these things back in 2008, they were actually 90 minutes long. 30 minutes is much better, those hour and a half shows were way too much for a practice that's three weeks before the first game.
