Did anyone catch if he addressed the gloves (or if anyone even asked about that)? I didn't catch mention of the gloves, but I wasn't paying complete attention.

He mentioned DeVier Posey's dive (not by name), but no longer a TD. I think Travis Howard high stepped on his Pick 6 against PSU. But he mentioned no high-stepping.

"Big Ten Icons - Coaches"

Wonder if JT will get his shot or make the list. I mean, if he doesn't, it could be considered a crime.

Do they honor Tom Osbourne (who didn't coach in the Big Ten)? There's another question.

They honored Penn State players who didn't play in the Big Ten on the original "Icons".

Yippee...Dhani Jones gets a BTN show.

IF ESPNU is actually airing this portion (of Media Day) talking about BTN, I laugh my ass off.

Anyone else think there is a chance of adding an additional channel and calling them Legends and Leaders?

I don't know what they'll call them, but I'm all for the B1G having a long-term goal of having exclusive rights to all of their in-conference football and basketball games, taking all of the profit from those games, and not giving any rights to ESPN/ABC, CBS, or anybody else.

I don't know if you heard the segment because it was 2-3 years ago, but Chris Spielman spoke of that and being pulled aside in a meeting of CFB personnel (while he was in Bristol) and ESPN execs feared this.

The head of ESPN execs spoke of the revenue the Big Ten would make.

Mark Silverman says ABC exclusivity for 3:30 games has been lifted, opening up the chance the BTN can have games at that time.
...

It's the same for night games, as well, so the Big Ten Network can show a night game across from a night game on ABC.

It means the BTN can choose a game at 3:30. They never air games that ABC does. This simply gives them a third time slot besides noon and evening.

Anything ESPN mirrored before would still happen.

I'm still intrigued about the "Big Ten Icons" for Coaches that launches this Fall on BTN.

You can't honestly have the series and completely ignore Coach Tressel, after what he did this past decade.

On the other hand, it's really soon after the incident (it's this Fall).

Well, Fred Taylor and Woody will make the list.

If Woody can make the list despite having been on probation himself and getting fired for clocking an opposing player, JT can make it despite falsifying an NCAA document.
