2011 BTN Football Talent

I wish the football analysts would change or improve, but understand it's still a growing process (Year 5).

I can't recall the game, but I think Eric Collins called one OSU player by the wrong name for almost an entire half in one game (duplicate number).

BTN?s weekly broadcast teams for football telecasts include Eric Collins (play-by-play), Chris Martin (analyst) and Dionne Miller (sidelines); Tom Hart (play-by-play), Derek Rackley (analyst) and Lisa Byington (sidelines); Matt Devlin (play-by-play), Glen Mason (analyst) and Rebecca Haarlow (sidelines).

For the fifth straight year, Dave Revsine, Gerry DiNardo and Howard Griffith will anchor the network?s game-day studio coverage on Big Ten Football Saturday, and will contribute to additional studio shows during the week.
Every time I think of BTN announcers, I think of this, it being the first year of BTN and Charissa Thompson maybe being surprised that she was on camera.

"Coach?"

I see that as well...just not sure how you create an account so that you can log in...

  1. The service hasn't started yet. Hopefully it will be ready to go soon. It is supposed to launch with companion apps for iPad & iPhone.
  2. You have to subscribe to one of the cable/satellite partners that have agreed to allow BTN2go (Time Warner, DirecTV, Dish Network, etc.) Because of that, you won't "create" a login, but rather use the one you already have with your service provider. In that respect, it's similar to ESPN3. When I use ESPN3, I don't login with an ESPN ID, I log in with my Time Warner ID.

It was one of the games last season. Aaron Gant was a having a monster game on special teams in kick coverage, and Collins kept saying, 'Another nice tackle by Posey!'

Wasn't as bad as Chris Martin saying Boom had "a really strong lower unit" during a nice run.

Cool. I'm really looking forward to it. Between BTN2go and the Watch ESPN app I'll be able to us my iPad as a second screen, which will be nice since I lost picture-in-picture on my TV when I switched to HD on Time Warner.

I managed to sit thru the big Ten Networks preview for tOSU. Granted it was from week one of camp, but Dinardo showed his true ignorance to football and why he isn't coaching. He stated that the D line was a weakness this year. That we won't have enough depth to be solid there. Am I missing something?

I know our front 4 starter are Williams, Simon, Goebel, Hankins. Then wouldn't guys like Bellamy, Blankenship, (I see Moore and Bennett in the 2 deep) then maybe a Miller or Farris if necessary. And couldn't some linebackers come down to play a hybrid. If you can get 2-3 other guys to give a breather to the starters it could be enough. And this is not including Thomas coming back in after 5 games.

Barring injury I think we are solid. And Dinardo was trying to be too smart. And he failed.

Yeah. Williams will swim move two people, and Hankins will just sit on two people. That leaves Simon and Goebel to blow up the center. Terrible D line.
