lets be honest and frank, the guy [censored] leaks more excellence onto his depends then youll achieve in your entire life.

I agree Joe Pa has had exceptional success as a coach, but put his name on the COY award, not the CCG award. Hes a great COACH, hes not known for winning conference titles.

As far as the logo and names are concerned, people wonder why the Big Ten is viewed as slow and why recruits look at this conference as boring. Our logo is worse than ny other logo out there for a conference, I mean that in all seriousness. The new names indicate you are either of "legendary" status or that you are a flash in the pan, "new leader" of the conference.

the "Atlantic" and "Coastal" divisions aren't terribly bad names. Although no one around the country even knows who is in what division (Whether it's because it's harder to remember due to not being geographical or people just don't care because the ACC is garbage isn't really clear)

It's not that they are poor names. What's the difference between Coastal and Atlantic? Both make me think of the ocean. Hard to decipher which is which. There's no discerning difference to go "ohh that division". Which might change over time, but nothing concrete. I think they over thunk the thinking of the think process.

Just my $0.02.

The logo is bland. Nothing spectacular about it nor appealing.

The division names are moderately confusing to me. I think that Legends is fine; however, I shudder at the Leaders moniker. For some reason, it feels like they forced alliteration. It's a shame.

edit: I forgot to add: does it sound terribly oxymoronic to anyone else that the divisions are noted as Legends and Leaders in that order? One would think that on two accounts Leaders would precede Legends (alphanumerically and by very definition).

I wonder who is going to be leading the leaders division come next november and if they will be able to beat the leaders of the legends division and what players will become legends by leading their team to victory in the game between the champions of the legends and the leaders divisions.

I think the Big Ten might be doing this just to see how badly they can fuck with ESPN. The "experts" will never be able to keep this shit straight.

So after listening to the videos of Delany on the BTN, I understand a little bit better of what they were trying to accomplish (honoring the past & present)...from the names on the trophies, legends (past) & leaders (present), etc.

I still think it's all pretty weak.

And to think Pentagram probably collected $100k+ for this project!

Anyway we can find the Pentagram company website?

I knew it when I saw it. That's what sold the idea. They liked the B1G 3-letter idea so much they forced the entire thing around it. At least it will fit on flash drives. Pheeeewww.

Any person that cares about style or design thinks this whole concept is shit. It's just painful to look at B-1-G and think Big Ten Conference.
