I think the most likely scenario is that aggy rallies enough no votes (and some do it for reasons beyond just protecting aggy) that Tejas to the SEC is dead. B1G quietly sends a "don't even ask" vibe their way. Tejas grandly announces that they're going indy because that was their plan all along. SEC takes OU and OSU Lite. B12 backfills with BYU, Boise, juggalos, SMU, Houston, Colorado State and Memphis to get to 16. Shaggy has an immense circle jerk patting themselves on the back for being so powerful that they alone could change the national landscape of college football.......goes 6-6 first year as independent.

B1G (the only thing that moves the needle for us are one of these two combos: ND and Boston College or UVA and UNC) and ACC (though part of me thinks them taking WVU and the juggalos makes real sense for them) stand pat. PAC? Geographically, the Nevada schools make sense, but I think the PAC academic bloc (Cali schools +UW) put the kaibosh on that, and they stand pat and worry about unfucking the schools that they already have.

So aggy just needs to find 3 schools to block this. There's two that have already fled their old conferences to get away from Texas. There's LSU who's probably not looking forward to giving UT and OU entree into its recruiting grounds as fellow SEC! schools, and there's a couple of Eastern division schools who look like they're ready to challenge and probably don't look forward to Saban being dropped into their division.

Shouldn't be too hard to whip those three votes from this group if only aggy weren't so fucking weird.

It's on the way to 16 each. 4 Super Conferences of 16 teams each. 8 per division, conference championships and a couple out of conference. Then the playoff can stay at 4 or also, move to 8. Done and done.

Any wankers not in those conferences can lobby for relegation once it all begins and the 4 super conferences can sign up for that or not. Otherwise, all the teams left have a Division II type championship or just fade away.

ND and BC would be the best options in my opinion.

That or UVA-UNC. The consensus seems to be that UNC will never abandon their Southern identity (and Dook), but I think UVA would definitely be in play. Other than something in that four, we just hold pat. We don't need to expand just because the SEC! seems hellbent on injecting the horn cancer into their body. And I think the Kansas talk is ludicrous for so many reasons: worst P5 football program by a mile, small state that they share, hanging onto their AAU membership by the skin of their nuts, would cause recruiting problems for everyone else in basketball.....and ultimately, basketball doesn't count for shit in all of this.

Only thing that makes sense out west would be to add OU and OSU lite which would be a good move IMO. Would also give Nebraska some company out there too which helps them out.

Otherwise ND would wrap up Chicago and BC would go a good way in locking up the Northeast which is the most population dense area of our country per capita.

UVA and UNC are fantastic schools but I'm not sure what they add from a viewership standpoint? IMO if the SEC expands then we absolutely have to as well.
