I don't think it's that bad. They may not be perennial powers but they can put together a competitive team most years. And they do have strong teams in other sports, such as basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, etc.

EDIT: I was thinking, does anyone think the B1G could steal Kentucky or Tennessee from the SEC? Would the B1G ever want them?

Tennessee.... Maybe.

Kentucky... Hell. No. The only thing they have going for them is basketball, and that's a big NO as long as Calipari is there.

Wouldn't that make Kentucky as having one more sport than Tenn?

I suppose. Guess I had Tennessee football from 10 years ago, and Tennessee basketball from 5 years ago in mind when answering...

Thinking again about the question, no to both.

Domers will NEVER end the series with USC or Navy.

I thought, after the infamous tribute to the Irish Potato Famine in '98, that the domers would sour on being humiliated by the Stanford band. I guess they're comfortable with just banning them from South Bend and are willing to take their abuse every other year.

Never. Ever.

USC and Navy are the domer's version of TSUN. They will play each other every year barring a meteor strike... which hopefully will hit South Bend or LA during a USC/ND game...

Why? Try to get your RV replaced and found out the place doesn't exist any more?

Get.
The.
Fuck.
Away.
From That Dump.

If by RV you mean 23 acres of prime fertile soil and a nice house 12 miles or so south of SB sure...I'll move it to fucking Florida. Not to mention the fact that I'm one zombie apocalypse from having a field day with Irish hoodie wearing motherfuckers. At 42 closing in on 43..a RV is on my things to buy list however.

So UVa would be a easy yes

I would be happy adding UNC/Duke (don't see them splitting up)

Last spot between Rutgers/MD.

Any other combination, I'd rather stay at 12 or 14. No one really has the leverage to force the B1G to expand right now. Delaney needs to put out offers to his Plan A's. I don't want to see any Plan B's anywhere besides the trashcan.

Well said. I rescind my former statement. I'm just not terribly impressed with the SB/Elkart area.

SB is rather iffy, however.

It really is...much to my surprise. Much like Notre Dame football fans I guess I expected more. I will say that the trains aren't bad..50 bucks round trip to Chicago for my son and I is a deal if you ask me. Good food, Good beer, no driving...I can live with that.
