So, with tiptoing that premium content... is the Big XII staying together a good thing for the Big 10?

But regarding Texas needing A&M more. I think it is 2 reasons. 1st - Fear of A&M opening up Texas for even more SEC recruiting. 2nd - Texas is probably [censored]ed that they are forced to hold Tech's hand while A&M is free to bail on them.

[1] Hasn't sounded off on that yet, last one was early this morning. In the long run, it may be positive for the Big Ten but I can't imagine it would be in the immediate.

[2] Valid points. There is so much going on it is hard to label any school accurately right now.

What the duece???

This whole thing is driving me insane. I have a feeling I will be getting a "warning" e-mail from the IT department at work due to all the time I am spending on the internet trying to keep up with all this expansion talk. But, anyway....

First let me thank all you guys for being a great source of information and all the chatter going on here has been entertaining.

Now if we could only get some definitive answers. I think if we really want to get this thing rolling TAMU needs to make the move to the SEC. That gives Texas an "out" and they can say they did all they could to keep the Big 12 together and then they throw Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State in their backpacks and head out west to the PAC-10 with Utah.

Then the Big 10/11/12 can snatch up Missouri and either force Notre Dame to join or if the threats to raid the Big East don't work, well, raid the Big East.

I know my thoughts aren't really original, but just my opinion based on everything I have read.

Wow. That's some seriously conspiratorial thinking from someone claiming not to be a conspiracy nut. Perhaps I've just spent too much time reading utterly delusional claims on TexAgs in the past, but IMO that contains all the hallmarks of Aggie-think.

1) @#$%ing 'sips!
2) Everyone's always out to get us!
3) aTm is not only relevant to, but a force to be reckoned with in college football.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go fuel up the black helicopters for their daily sortie to College Station...

In related news, Holy Cross and Quinnipiac will be invited to join the National Football League. And Jesse James will invite Susan Boyle to replace Sandra Bullock as his wife.

I could see BYU and Utah happening. They have been wanna-be PAC 10 schools for years. They could compete in the new Big 12 North. Of course, they would get pounded by the South schools, but that's a small price to pay to be a part of the Longhorn Sports Network.

If the Big 12 stays intact, I guess that means Nebraska will have to pay a penalty for leaving...right?

Yeah, they were clearly hoping the Big 12 would fall apart! It will still work for them...they just might have to wait longer a season or two longer to truly reap the benefits.

Already retracted.

We apologize, but it seems like someone had access to the account that shouldn't have.

104.9 The Horn DID NOT report that Air Force and BYU would be two new Big12 teams.

[strike]Dont have a link (might have heard it on the radio anyway), but I last saw that Utah might be the Pac-10 choice for its 12th spot... I find it amazing that B12 schools would play at Air Force...
