He (or his source) also have the right to get [censored] canned.

Which is very different than an injunction. Now...if he (or his source) was employed by the Big 10 they likely signed a non-disclosure agreement and then could be sued for an injunction.

If he is just joe message board poster, it is a different story. If that is all he is and he is claiming to have personally received a threat of an injunction--I would question his reliability.

I can't live with myself knowing I'd be a "Northwestern Insider" and I can't kill that many people.

I'm nothing if not a humanitarian.

I did this, the monthly, and already cancelled but still have access.

What I said earlier about seeking the injunction is what happened. He was told to basically stop or the legal recourse would begin.

In trying to tiptoe that line about premium content: developments with SEC and A&M keep us in the game.

We could have all guessed that though. Utah would most certainly be the 16th team. I think that would put the Texas and Oklahoma foursome somewhat at a disadvantage in terms of power in the conference.

Here is the rather unique twist in all of this: Texas needs A&M more than A&M needs Texas.

Sorry, Colvinnl - truth be told, I don't know what the hell an injunction is anyway. I've seen that School House Rock dozens of times, and it still hasn't sunk in. :sad2:

(law) a judicial remedy issued in order to prohibit a party from doing or continuing to do a certain activity; "injunction were formerly obtained by writ but now by a judicial order"

And you are probably better off for it :). You are right though---if PBC is actually reliable then I think someone is at risk of being canned now. If no one is at risk of being canned, then I am not sure he is reliable (or the Big 10 is making a poor legal threat). Throw in the fact that he went to the premium boards...and who knows what to think of that.

And the key issue is that the injunction must stop some sort of illegal activity, i.e. violating a statute or contract (such as a non-disclosure agreement). But if PBC is not employed by the Big 10 I cannot really think of a valid reason the Big 10 could seek an injunction against him.

But PBC might be getting threatened via Rivals. I am sure Rivals was taking heat from the Big 10. Or at least that is how I would think an injunction could slow him down.

But really, there probably isn't much info for PBC to leak while everyone waits on Texas's move.

So, with tiptoing that premium content... is the Big XII staying together a good thing for the Big 10?

But regarding Texas needing A&M more. I think it is 2 reasons. 1st - Fear of A&M opening up Texas for even more SEC recruiting. 2nd - Texas is probably pissed that they are forced to hold Tech's hand while A&M is free to bail on them.

Even then...Rivals couldn't be subject to an injunction ...just like Joe Schad or Chip Brown couldn't (First Amendment). Now rivals might say--hey stop or Northwestern/the Big 10 are going to be pissed at us. But that is different than having legal grounds to get an injunction.

This is why companies have employees sign non-disclosure agreements.

An entertaining thread discussing the possibility of an internal battle for Aggies soul.

Makes me wish that UT wasn't so god damned controlling and manipulative. If they'd just get over themselves and join the B10 as an equal partner, it would be great to have these guys around.

BTW, I have no desire to ever discover the details of what precisely is an Aggy "jizz jar."

Reading the Aggie pro SEC boards is scary. I never fully understood the level of scorn poured on aTm by horn fans, but I'm beginning to see the light.
