Current Big 12 Makeup

Baylor
Iowa State
Kansas
Kansas State
Missouri
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Texas
Texas A&M
Texas Tech

Add two or all of the following
Houston
TCU
UTEP
SMU
North Texas
Tulsa

Obviously Texas likes being the big fish. This would allow them to remain the big fish and start some kind of Texas network. They need Oklahoma and Kansas so the conference can keep credibility in football and basketball. They could also add in someone like Rice (Great Baseball)

Only Nebraska won't be in the Big 12 and Missouri (from what everyone says) the Big 12 doesn't want them anymore.

Agree that they would dominate the PAC-10, as it stands. We are a much better cultural fit with good 'ole boy Confederate Texas than the PAC-10 and the Big-10, IMO.

This barn is in Ohio. Just saying

Furthermore, you can't ruin the OSU PSU rivalry, which has been the premiere big ten game since 05. Also, PSU has a manufactured rivalry with Sparty. The big 12 split killed the OU NEB rivalry.

Also Nebraska may renew their old Iowa rivalry and perhaps add some visibility to the hawkeyes who are often fairly ignored even when good.
I'd argue longer than that... there were some high-intrigue games at the onset in the 90s... despite the one-sidedness, the matchup has been good/fun almost every year...
screw you both

If you read what Kent Sterling has to say, the meeting was about something else:

Big Ten Expansion ? Texas and Texas A&M May Choose Big Ten ?

Also seems to support @frankthetank111's suggestion that chatter is all over right now with different information.
Sterling makes good points about the "logic" of a Big 10 move.... and I believe the bit about the "pull" of UT and its fan base in to where and when games are played.

Lets see, 100,000 seats in 3 stadiums... rabid fan bases...

Or.. giant cardboard cutouts in half the stadium, played in the Central Time Zone as late as 2AM...
