Indiana vs. Ok. St

To be honest, I don't like the Big 10's chances of going over .500 in these games. Especially the big ones. I think OSU has a good shot. Illini is already a 2 TD dog and that number will probaly keep growing as it gets closer to game time. scUM is totally overmatched against another spread team they can't defend. Wisky has a shot but Ainge is playing well. Wisky has been one of those overrated teams all year. A lot of close games with some bad teams. A&M struggles to throw so I think PSU can win that one. Strength vs. Strength. B.C. has too much balance for Mich St. Purdue will outscore CMU and OKla St. is too athletic for IU. PREDICTION: Big10 3-5.

Ohio State. Ohio State is 1-0-1 against LSU all time. They are good at power football. They will have extra motivation. I may, in fact, be biased.

USC, though I wish Illinois would win.

Florida, though I am rooting for scUM in this one (Makes me kinda sick). Could go either way, honestly. Tebow could have the worst case of Heisman jinx ever. Everyone is going to be talking about him.

Wisconsin takes it to Tennessee hardcore. Tennessee cannot run the ball.

Penn State over an unimpressive A&M team. Paterno wins bowl games.

Boston College over Michigan State, sadly. Boston College wins bowl games.

Purdue over Central Michigan. Period.

Indiana over Oklahoma State in a shootout.

Overall, 5-3 for the Big Ten. I wish 8-0, and I'll be cheering for all Big Ten teams. But, there are some really tough matchups that we possibly will not be able to overcome.

I think OSU would beat LSU by several points. If so, it would be like we win twice since we will play at their home stadium. But I'm not convinced though, just remainding myself that LSU has very, very good record playing at home. It must be a hot game!

I'm seeing that opinion everywhere. Which worries the shit out of me!:shake:

I'd normally agree, when things look this bad on paper it almost never goes the way you think. That said I don't think people outside understand just how bad scUM's defense is at playing in space. They just can't overcome it. They have SR safties that can't tackle, hell they can't take a proper angle to miss the tackle a lot of times.

I would say that a healthy Henne/Hart and company could put some points on your defense but I think your only problem back there is youth and a month to get ready with good coaching might just negate scUM's lone glimmer of hope.

No, unless something happens to Tebow you guys will roll.

LSU vs. Ohio State- Les Miles<Jim Tressel. That and LSU's offense is just meh. Try running Jake Hester over and over again on this Defense.

Illinois vs. USC Illinois is playing well, but Southern Cal can't lose to Zook. Not even in this wacky year. Right?

Michigan vs.Florida This one might be close, but Hart and Henne will be 0-8 in Bowls and vs. tOSU

Wisconsin
vs. Tennessee This is purely because I have no respect for UT after watching Bama destroy them in person, I still don't know how you let JP Wilson throw for tree fidy.

Penn State
vs. Texas A&M Who cares about this game?

Boston College vs. Michigan State Dantonio! Sparty's RB's crush BC

Purdue
vs. Central Michigan CMU will probably win this because Purdue always loses to teams they shouldn't.

Indiana
vs. Ok. St Indiana keeps on winning for their late coach. 8 wins, i believe that would make Coach Hep Smile.

Ya know, I haven't really had a chance to think about a lot of these games. I have been sort of thinking about the LSU v OSU game all day. I will say I like our chances more than I did with WVU or Mizzou, not because they are better teams but because they had offenses that weren't really traditional. LSU is different, granted, I see Miles do a lot of creative stuff, but he's more of a traditional, smash-mouth, football coach. I like the fact that he went to a bowl against Tressel at his last gig and lost. I don't know how I feel about it being at the superdome, and our record against the SEC concerns me. If we are going to get over the SEC hump, this is the perfect scenario, my scarlet and gray blood wants me to say the bucks will dominate, however, at this point I am just going to say the Bucks better come to play. That LSU team is really talented, that coach hates our school more than people in West Virginia love their sisters.

Illinois is going to get crushed, they havn't been to a big bowl game in a long time and USC is a pissed off team that feels like they got screwed, I look for them to take out a lot of that agression on Zooks young team.

Michigan, doomed! I don't see them having a chance in hell to win this game. They are going against what might be the best running QB of our generation, a coach who knows how to show you stuff that you've never seen on film, and not to mention, this Michigan team isn't that great.

Wiscy should win this one, after seeing the Cal/Tennesee game I think Wiscy should be able to roll with them offensively. There should be a lot of points here, that should at least make this game fun to watch.

Penn State, this game is a little more intriguing than I thought at first glance. PSU tends to screw themselves, I think they will pull it out but it will be close.

Michigan State will get beat by Boston College because they took the season off about 6 weeks ago and haven't really recovered since.

Purdue and Central Michigan is a bowl game? I thought Central Michigan was someone you scheduled so that the SEC fans could say your schedule was soft and that you were all afraid of real opponents? Purdue should win easily, if they don't, they should not come home, or at least change their names and pretend to be imigrant workers.

Indiana vs OK. State. There's a lot of emotion riding there in Indiana, I think they will sneak out an unexpected victory based on the dying old coach and his wife and stuff that I barely pay attention to.

So I see it ? for the NC at this point, rest of the bowls:

4 Bowl Wins
3 Bowl Losses

OSU V LSU I am still thinking about.

I'm confident the Badgers will prevail. Fairly traditional offense and their defense isn't going to dominate you by any means. Wisconsin has the edge in special teams. UW is a prideful program who prepares better than just about anyone with the extra month (9-3 in bowl games since Alvarez).

I think you boyz are giving Florida way too much credit. Tebow is definitely tough and the urban myth seems to put together good game plans, but this team is overblown as all hell. This is the only time I can actually pull for the Cyclist and his buddies, so hopefully they'll decide to show up. If Henne & Hart are healthy, and Manningham realizes this game could really affect his draft status, then they will put up some points.

We've definitely got some tough match-ups. It's nice to see Illinois get a BCS bid, but that at the same time it makes the match-ups tougher.

USC vs. Illinois
It seems like Petey always has his cast of future NFL players ready to play for bowl games unlike some of their regular season games where they fight to the wire against teams like Notre Lame and Stanford. It would be an incredible win if the Illini could pull it off.

Mich vs. UF
I think people are giving UF way too much credit, but it is a tough matchup. I'm actually going to root for the Cyclist in his last collegiate game. I hope he and Henne are healthy, and that Manningham realizes that the NFL scouts will be all over this game.

Wisky vs. UT
I always have more confidence in UW than a lot of the other Big10 teams. They almost always show up for bowl games.

PSU vs. Texas A&M
This ain't exactly an easy matchup either, but I think PSU can get it done.

MSU vs. BC
How the hell does BC fall all the way to the Champs Sports bowl? I think MSU should be motivated (and well coached), but BC does have a good QB and the defense to challenge that MSU running game. Go Dantonio!

Indiana vs. Okie St.
IU is probably a tad overmatched, but I think they're motivated and probably take this game as more tribute to Coach Hoeppner.

Purdue vs. C Mich
Flip a coin on whether PU decides to show up or not. It may not be a BCS bowl, but this year every bowl is personal.

What has happened to the "Grand Daddy of Them All" The Rose Bowl?
It looks like they have screwed up. USC fans are pissed at Illinois going.
Wonder how their team will feel about playing lowly Illinois?
I know they were really hoping for an OSU-USC match up.
Will they even show up motivated?
And will a running QB like Williams give them fits like Vince Young did?
It's a lose-lose situation for them.
And nothing but a win-win for Illinois no matter the outcome.
