D'oh, my bad on WVU. They obviously got in after beating UConn.

If LSU had been in the Sugar, I was positive the Rose would select UGA. Now I have no idea. Missouri-USC really doesn't have that "sexiness." I realize the RB tradition (and there may be political implications as stated by t_Buckeyes), but I think their committee might consider it more of a waste of time to select Illinois at 9-3, whom lost to Iowa, than to select 11-2 Missouri. I won't commit either way on that bowl.

Kansas vs. Okla. was an interesting option I hadn't thought of. That would knock ASU and Missouri down to the Holiday, and Illinois would be in the Rose. But I think the Fiesta will go with ASU.

What would be hilarious is if the RB chooses UGA, since they have first choice due to the Bucks' apparent #1 ranking.

I forgot about the champs sports bowl for the Big10 #5. If Illinois goes to the Cap1, scUM will go there to play UVA or Clemson and Iowa will go to the Insight.

The Rose Bowl can't select Georgia without the permission of the Sugar Bowl.

C. When two bowls lose host teams, then the bowl losing the number one team may not select a replacement team from the same Conference as the number two team, unless the bowl losing the number two team consents.

Would the Sugar consent to Georgia since they could get Tennessee who beat Georgia and went to the SEC championship?

edit- nevermind that would be stupid as low as Tenn is ranked.

Tennessee has 3 losses, Georgia would be the pick.

edit: good catch

Also, Georgia is guaranteed a spot in a BCS game with a top 4 BCS finish if all of the teams ahead of them are conference champions. Since this will be the case, both LSU and Georgia are guaranteed a BCS game, thus removing any other SEC team (Florida) from consideration.

Also, there will be enough eligible teams in the top 14 of the BCS that Tennessee wont even be eligible for a BCS game.

As stated, Va. Tech (ACC) is tied in to the Orange.

Some (not me) think that the Orange will take Kansas over West Va. But they'll get to make that choice.

I believe that the conference tie-in to the Orange Bowl used to be ACC/Big East. Either that has changed to just ACC, or I was wrong. My question had to do with Big East and how that worked, but, apparently, it doesn't work. At least, not anymore.

So whats that make it?

scUM vs UT in the Citrus
Wisky vs UF in Outback

???

3 games head to head vs the SEC again this year. A solid performance and a win by us would go a LONG way in getting bragging rights back.

As I posted earlier, scUM has a shot if they eat clock. If Michigan's defense plays like a physical Big Ten defense should, maybe they can get to Tim Tebow mentally. Maybe some Heisman jinx kicks in. Overall, though, Michigan is at a huge disadvantage in this game.
