My favorite drive is anywhere in SE Ohio on a cool, crisp October day with the windows down and the radio up. I love that drive.

I did this today. Boredom in Zanesville got the best of me. Took some back roads around Frazeysburg and Dresden. It really is beautiful out there, and I didn't realize that it took it for granted until today. You see some great things in Columbus, but nothing like this.

The drive up to the summit of Mauna Kea (on the island of Hawaii) was amazing. Mauna Kea is the tallest mountain in the Hawaiian Chain. Its summit rises to an elevation of 4205m (13,796 ft) above sea level and it is located on the island of Hawaii. Mauna Kea's summit is 9 kilometers above the adjacent ocean floor, making Mauna Kea the tallest mountain in the world. Because of its high altitude, thin and clean air, and great distance from urban areas, the summit of Mauna Kea is an idea place for sky watching and star gazing.

Visiting Mauna Kea

Another good one on Maui is biking (downhill) 38 miles from the summit of Haleakala (a dormit volcano) with at an elevation of 10,023 ft. to sea level starting at sunrise. You could also drive it, but it wouldn't be nearly as fun.

Not to be a dick, but:

The word is 'granted'. You take something for granted not granite, which is an igneous rock.

It's 'dormant', not 'dormit'.

Sorry guys, I'm feeling nitpicky this morning.

Fuck. I know that, I don't know why I posted it. I'm a Journalism major, so it bothers me when I do stuff like that..
