Disagree big time there. You're getting into a what if situation. I'm not saying Bama would or would not make the championship game, but what's for certain is they'd have to finally play some quality opponents. And if they made it I'd be for a rematch.

Look, a 'Bama loss tonight is the only way they wouldn't claim another national championship this year- if OkSU was in the final, they'd certainly add it to their list of "titles".

In fact, I'm not so sure that an LSU win won't result in a split NC anyway, so... yeah.

They'll claim it on the grounds that LSU fielded multiple players with French surnames.

I could care less about this game. I might have cared if this resulted from a +1 but I think an 8 team playoff is due. BUT, I also think the little guys need to PAY THEIR DUES before they get any free chicken. I'm looking at you TDU (Boise State).

It might be the best season, but I don't see a team that compares to 01 Miami, and I think 04 USC would be a dogfight.

Jefferson is a pretty huge liability when comparing to a team with Dorsey, Davenport, Portis, Johnson, Shockey, McKinney, Gonzalez, McDougle, Vilma, Rumph, Buchanan, Reed, Sievers.

They won the PR, P, QB, Maxwell, OL, DB, OC, TE & K awards.

I'm still miffed that we never got to see the SEC vs Carroll's great SC teams.

Totally forgot about 01 Miami.
I think the 05 Texas team might push LSU too - but ultimately they were just average on defense.

Found what I am watching...except Blazing Saddles will be on DVD since the tv version sucks.

In 2007 most people wanted to see a B1G conference rematch for the BCSNC because they thought the best two teams should play.

What the hell is so different now, save the conference?
